Axle Seal Replacement

I have a 2000 L2500DT with a leaking axle seal. I have removed the axle flange #31353-4411-0, bearing # 08101-06206, and bevel gear # 31333-4394-0. My problem is removing the cir-clips (split collar?) #37650-4368-0. I have bent picks, small screwdrivers, etc. with no results. Anyone here have the secret to their removal? Thanks in advance! You need to use the online parts manuals for part #'s as the one's your quoting are completely out dated.

Negative Wolfman. My problem is the seal between the axle flange (8 bolts) and the axle ( 2 studs and 4 bolts that mount the wheel and tire). This morning I used the same chisel and hammer as yesterday, 2 strikes and the collar popped off. Maybe I was holding my mouth wrong. Thanks, Bill
