Auto Throttle Advance

When I bought the new to me L45 the Auto Throttle Advance wasn't working, stuck linkage. Now that I have it all sorted out and working I need to know how much slack should be in the cable that goes to the injector pump.

The service manual doesn't give much information on the linkage setup so it's been a little trial and error.

So, for those with Auto Throttle Advance, how far are you able to push your hydro pedal before the engine RPMs increase?

Pretty much instantaneous, but I am not sure your L45 and my L3560 use the same mechanism. Is the L45 common rail?

It is not common rail, it is a mechanical mechanism that operates the ATA. I can set the cable to where it is instantaneous.

Our M-59 (which is a larger version of your L-45) is almost instantaneous, also.

That is where it should be set, instantaneously.
