Replacing the FEL valve on my b7100. The valve I am looking at has a relief valve set at 2000psi, my tractor only puts out 1725psi , and it has a built in relief valve on the 3pt hitch . Would it be ok to use this valve, with a higher relief setting than the tractor puts out?

I don't see where that would be a problem. It would allow you to use all the power your tractor produces but still relief just over your max pressure.

as above...
Depending where you buy the valve from they may be able to set it to whatever you would like it to be. Most relief's are adjustable. Just ask.

Thanks for the Information Guys. I am new to this site and I thinks it is great that a newbie can get questions answered so quickly.

Yes the pressure relief is adj., but 2000psi is the lowest setting.

If they are pipe thread you can use standard teflon tape. If they are tapered or JIC type fittings they seal without any type of sealant.
