I am adding a 3rd function valve to my L3901 with LA525. I have all of the hydraulics hooked up, and have added my handle to the loader control stick. I have a question on the wiring. The kit includes these modular connectors that connect directly to the solenoids. They each have 3 wires. 2 wires get connected to ground, and the 3rd wire gets the signal from the push button on the handle. My question is that there are two ways to install these modular (DIN) adapters, which are 180 degrees out from each other. By looking at the drawing, it would seem that the connectors would be arranged so that the wires face each other, but this is no guarantee That the brown wire goes to terminal 1. I have looked all over the solenoid connections, but they are only marked for the ground connection. Any idea how to tell which terminal is #1 and #2?

I have attached the schematic.https://www.dropbox.com/s/2h685h8gsnrunof/DG03%20wiring.pdf?dl=0

Finally was able to talk to an engineer at construction associates, and it turns out that you can install the plug either way. Finished the install, now just have to borrow a grapple to see if it works.

I don't see where you mentioned what brand you bought, but you can go to this link and watch the three video and probably find the answer.

D2Cat - thanks for the reply. That is the brand that I purchased, but they have since switched to a newer solenoid that had modular DIN connectors instead of wiring to a junction box. I was able to talk to a helpful engineer and got it all sorted out. Now I just have to wait for my neighbor to get home so that I can borrow his grapple and see if it all works!
