Can’t think of a better group to ask this question to.

But seriously, any idea what might have left this? Neighbors stopped by for a visit this afternoon and the wife spotted it and said she has seen the exact same thing at their place on multiple occasions.

No clue here. Length is about 6 inches.

One way too investigate is to cut it in half & look for remnants of things that didn't get totally digested; bones, feathers, seeds, etc.

I would think that there would be internet sites with pictorials where an amateur investigator could view pics of samples to make those determinations.

Off the cuff I'd say coyote, fox, bobcat.

@bucktail: That was was awesome! :ROFLMAO:

It would be helpful to know your general geographic location. Might eliminate quite a few possibilities.

Might be something common, could be an 'Endangered Feces'..... :ROFLMAO:

It looks likely canine. Coyote, wolf, dog… Somebody may know precisely what canine, but I don’t. Looks a bit big for a small dog or fox.

If it gets to be semi-routine, I’d put a game cam in the area and look at the pics of whatever is squatting there.

Coyote is my guess. It’s not fox, bear or fisher.

I don’t get much right lately, so take it with grain of salt.

I don’t know shit either….;)

Sorry, a bit north of Pittsburgh. Should have mentioned the location, although it is listed under the avatar on the left if one expands that area by clicking on the down facing caret (v) symbol…
