I just purchased a M6950DT with a front loader. Everything seems to work fine except for when I hooked up a 6ft mower. The PTO is slipping/stopping under load. My fear is it is the PTO clutch. Could it be something else?

A friend of mine bought a used M9000 and after hooking a baler to it found that the pto was slipping. Long story short the hyd pressure was low going to the pto but in the mean time the clutch pack was destroyed. New clutch pack and fixed the pressure issues and it was good as new.

I do not think it is the Clutch. Could it be the PTO Clutch. I believe it is in the rear of the tractor and not with the Drive Clutch. Dors anyone know?

The PTO clutch is what I was talking about.
Ok, if u have a live PTO, your PTO is going to slip in one direction but it shouldnt just stop, also your clutch is a dual disc clutch. in other words, push the clutch pedal half way in that disconnects the input shaft from the PTO part of the clutch push it all the way in that disconnects the input shaft from the drive part of the clutch.

(i believe thats how it work)

Unless I'm just completely off base this tractor has independent PTO instead of Live. It doesn't have a dual clutch, it's a single dry disc.

On a dual clutch system, the half way point allows you to shift the transmission without affecting the pto. This is what gives you Live pto. From half way down to fully depressed is the pto side of the clutch.

1st thing to do is change hyd filters. Next would be to check pto clutch pressure if a test port is provided on the tractor.

According to Kubota parts which BTW are now accessible for free online your tractor has a hyd pto clutch.

Yes the Kubota mech you referred to and I agree. A hyd clutch requires a hyd pump that puts out a certain amt of hyd pressure. If you'll remember on the 9th of July I posted stating the pressure should be checked.

Not sure what it is at the pto but the main hyd pressure should be around 2200 - 2600 psi or somewhere in that range.
