I chocked each rear wheel, one at a time, and tried rolling the other, in both directions, with 4x4 engaged, in gear, and in neutral - propeller shaft does not spin.

Have you checked the rear coupling on the propeller shaft?

Yes, the coupler look new, roll pin is intact, and splines are engaged. I even watch the splines on the output shaft, along with the coupler, but neither turned when I turned the wheels.
Then it does sound like it has an internal issue. 😭

Haven't given up yet. I decided and go back to square 1 and start over. Nothing underneath looks loose or disconnected. But when I reach up and turn the linkage by the 160 assy, you can hear the 4x4 lever moving up and down. And I thought that was turning something in the trans case, but that's just a pivot point to move the 080 rod, to turn the 010 pin, via the 060. All of the 010, 060, and 080 are all still connected. So the other end of the 080 must be disconnected. And I can't reach up and get that other end to move to tell if it's loose, so it must be in a jam also.

I have a workshop manual arriving this weekend. Maybe it will give me the best way to access, which at this point looks like fuel tank removal. I tried removing the floor pan and seat, but that just lead me to the basement of the cab. I'll report back findings in case it helps someone else in the future.
