I have a SVL95-2S track loader. I know the book calls for a ISO46 grade hydraulic fluid, but i have a bulk tank with ISO 68 Fluid. Anybody have thoughts on using the 68 grade? Im at the first 1000 hr interval and am changing the fluid. I live in Hawaii and temperatures can get warm. I figured the higher viscosity would be better in this climate, plus the fact that i already have the 68 fluid. I use it on all the other equipment (Tractors, backhoe) i have here at the ranch

I wouldn't do it, the heavier fluid can cause a multitude of issues, and that unit uses the fluid as a cooling source too, heavier non compliant fluid can cause it to overheat.
