I have a L4400 (bought used), I added a skid steer quick attach to it recently, now I'd like to attach a 3rd function to the loader. Wondering - what do I need to add to the stock plumbing? There seems to maybe be a 3rd function position on the lever - all the way to the right (then up/down) that currently doesn't do anything. Not sure though, new to hydraulics. Any tips?

Local dealer has a generic 3rd function kit for $1300 ($Canadian) which is a bit steep but I'll go for it if I have to. Images:

There is no third function spot on the stock loader valve, in fact there was no optional stock, add on third function, when that tractor/ Loader was produced.

Your best option is an aftermarket electric over hydraulic third function valve.
