Recently my 3 point hitch started dropping under the weight of its own implement(a box blade) on my B8200. I have checked the piston o-ring and backup ring(both appear good), and am now looking at the control valve/relief valve unit. Just wondering if anyone has had this problem, and where to look for a fault in the unit itself? Is there a way to identify which valve prevents backflow from the implement side, because i think that's where the problem lies.

More commonly the problem lies in the feed back rod being misadjusted.
Do you have the WSM for your tractor?
If not, get it and it will walk you through how to properly adjust it. ;)

You mean I spent all that time up to my elbows in hydraulic fluid for nothing? I'll check the feedback rod, and repost when its all back together.

thanks,
