Here is the first trial run to make some needed corrections like a jack stand and additional ballast to be effective as a graderblade before the final Kubota Orange paint gets sprayed on. The unit will weigh in at around 400 pounds and is built like a Sherman Tank .

One unique feature, the blade is set back far enough on the tongue to completely swivel around without hitting the back tractor tires and then can be locked and used to push or back fill a dirt pile into a hole.

That's nice piece of work Dennis! You're a much cleaner welder than I am :D

Yeah mild steel is a bit soft for a grader edge but in light duty should last longer than you need to worry about.

Awesome job of both engineering and good looking welds too.
One thing about the grader blade material you didn't use, you can always add it later to the front edge if you do have a need for it and it will add additional weight then too.

Ain't that the truth! When I was learning the lathe I spend $60 in tooling and materials and about 12 hours to make a pneumatic actuator for a paintball gun that I could have bought for $20 :) Still one of my favorite things I've made.

I approve of the color. :) Looks good Denis.

That is a work of art. Can you extend it futher out or bring it in? What about rotating the ends up or down? Either way you have completed a fine tool ;)
