Hello all,
I have a late 70's early 80's L345 DT. Ive owned this tractor for about 5 years and it still runs pretty good, besides the fact that the previous owners "rode it hard and put it up wet" if you know what I mean. Well yesterday I decided to change trans/hydraulic oil. The manual lists 3 oil products, one of them being Shell Donax TD, which I could not find so I cross referenced to Valvoline Unitrac. Manual also indicates cleaning a screen type filter, which I popped out via 3 bolts on the bottom of the filter housing. The filter was pretty clean but I did clean it diesel fuel as instructed and replaced filter and oil. Now the 3 point will not operate, what the hell did I do now! Or should I say what do I do now! I believe the pump in the front of the tractor handles the loader and is independent from the 3 point hydraulics, you'll have to forgive my ignorance i'm not to good with the tractor mechanics, any advice from you veterans would be appreciated!

I had a similar problem the first time I changed my hydraullic fluid.
Turns out I used the wrong fluid, used gear oil...oops.
I would start there.

The Valvoline Unitrac appears to be pretty much the same as Kubota UDT although it doesn't list it per sec. It does list it as a cross to JD 20c and MF Hytran so I'd say as long as it was supposed to have hydraulic in there the Valvoline is pretty well middle of the road. Is the 3pt the only thing not working correctly? Seems like I remember Vic once talking about one of the older models that was prone to a air lock problem, perhaps he'll kick in here.
