Something new and I don’t like it a bit . A couple of days ago I hauled my tractor to my other home place to do some work and when I got there the 3 pt would not lower . It’s all the way up and completely stuck . No- the speed adjustment is not shut off or locked off . The draft lever and linkage is working all of the way to the case but Nothing after that point ! I have a hydraulic top link so I tilted it all of the way down, tied a chain on it tight to my trailer, tilted it up which put major downward pressure on it and no movement . Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks

Hydraulically the only thing holding it up is the oil in the lift circuit. Either the control valve is not opening or the lowering speed valve is closed.

Bit confused but it sounds like your tractor has the optional draft control kit. If so, I would look to this linkage first.

The draft control system used on the GL tractors is a Rube Goldberg external linkage design that is rarely (if ever) installed and adjusted properly. First check that the feedback linkage has not been damaged or become unconnected.

FWIW, the troublesome draft control mechanism used on these tractors is often removed due to customer complaints.

Of course, you have already verified that the draft control lever is fully in the "off" position???

They are one and the same. Assuming the lift is hydraulically suspended the control valve is not opening.

Dan
Thank you Sir! The shaft from the linkage has a collar on it attached with roll pins. I thought one of the pins may have sheared but the whole connected shaft is turning all of the way into the case. Something isn’t connected anymore on the inside. I could tear it all apart but it’s still under warranty. I just don’t trust mechanics anymore .
Thanks again Sir, I certainly appreciate it .

Dont jump the gun. Inspect the other side of the case especially the feedback linkage.

Agreed, and the optional Rube Goldberg draft control mechanism (if installed) does affect the control valve in certain situations.

Need to know if the OP has two three point lift control levers (draft control has been installed) or one (no rare optional draft control system).

Still confused.

Agreed.

I haven't trusted mechanics ( or just about anyone) since the early 60s.

If you can pull a pin for the top/tilt, it might drop. I don't know how it connects. Then work on the top/tilt which is probably what's holding it up.

the pin could be easily pulled! The top tilt is working fine . I’ll dive back into it after I get out of my bow blind tomorrow morning and let y’all know what I find ! I really appreciate everyone’s help.

The f
In that case, thoroughly inspect the feedback rod as suggested earlier.
The feedback rod is not moving! My bet is something is broken or has come loose inside the valving on top of the case .
