Need a little advice.I am looking at a 2014 Kubota MX 5100 with front end loader and standard transmission with only 25 hours. And a new 6 ft medium duty rotary cutter.Owner is asking $27,000. Nice tractor but I am thinking more like $24,000. Am I too low.

$27k is a good price for that, most go for more without the rotary cutter.
So yes you're low at $24k, That would be a 2012 with more hours price. ;)

That's not that great of a price. Son just purchased a new MX5100 HST with FEL, 3rd Function on the loader, one set of rear remotes and rear tires loaded for $28,200. There's still new MX5100's out there, it takes time to find them though. Two weeks ago I knew where there was 14 new ones.

A new medium duty rotary cutter can be had for $1500.

That's about what I was thinking. Plus I would really be happier with an HST.

If you seriously looking to buy you better hurry. The MX5100 is interim Tier 4, no DPF, and they're getting harder to find everyday. The dealer my son got his from still has one on their website but he was a 3 hour drive for us. There was 5 at a dealer in Ohio and 5 at dealer Missouri. Most dealers have pulled them from their system wide inventory so that they don't show up on a dealer search done by other dealers, they don't want to transfer these models because they are getting so hard to find.

I want a MX4700 or MX5100 HST due to the Tier 4 thing. I just recently sold my John Deere 3032E or I would have already had one. I am thinking I may have to buy a used one as a new one seems to be hard to find. My local dealer could not locate one.

I spent 2 days finding the ones I mentioned. Your local dealer most likely won't find one in Kubota's inventory, you'll have to call every dealer you find within a reasonable drive. A couple local dealers in the area called the dealer where my son got his from and they told him over the phone that they didn't have any but they were telling them that they were dealer trying to transfer.
