I recently purchased a used 2004 Kubota M9000 with a Bush hog brand front end loader. The tractor has 2200 hours on it but I have noticed that the front end loader is a lot slower than my 51 horse Kubota. Is it the age and the brand of the loader that makes it slower or is there something I can change or fix to make it faster? Any help would be must appreciated! Thanks in advance.

As long as the valve to the loader is open fully, piping and hosing are not crimped or restricted you are a slave to the flow of the pump. The volume of the hoist cylinders divided by flow of the pump at rated speed will give you the theoretical lift speed. This spec may also be in the user manual.

Edit - looks like the M9000 has a pump flow of ~23 GPM
What Brush Hog model do you have?

It might be the way they have plumbed it into the existing hydraulic system. ;)

As far as when the hydrolic filters have been changed? I’m not sure. The fluid looked new when I bought it but the motor oil hadn’t been changed for 8 months. I have changed he motor oil and greases it but that is it. I purchased it from a tractor dealer, but it wasn’t a Kubota dealer. They sold another color and wasn’t a fan of the orange color. They took it in on trade and just put it up for sale.
