1998 L3010 Three Point Hitch Questions?

I picked up a 1998 L3010 last week and love it so far, but I have a few questions and concerns with the 3 point hitch on mine. The control handle seems very loose and floppy, and when you raise the arms all the way up they will drop back down without me pushing the handle down. I adjusted the (lift speed?) knob under the seat all the way in, in which case the arms will go all the way up and not drop at all when I push the handle down. If I loosen the knob up a bit they will hold their position a bit better but still drop slowly. The only way I can get the lift arms to stay where I want them is to use the set screw to hold the control handle in place. All of this has been done with no weight on the arms as I don't have any 3 pt. implements yet.

There is probably spring washers and nuts at the bottom of the lever that can be adjusted tighter or replaced.
Kubota.com has illustrated parts lists to help see how it is put together.
There is a website Kubotabooks.com???that you may be able to download the workshop manual (WSM)

Thanks for the links, definitely some useful info on those sites! I'll have to check that spring/pin on the control lever tomorrow, is it possible that it could just be loose, causing the handle to fall down?

There is a set of washers and spring washers that keep the lever from "just falling".
Loosen the outside lock nut (#130) while holding the inside adjustment nut (#120), tighten the inside nut till lever feels good, then holding inside nut tighten outside nut to it to lock.

A little bit of an update, I went out and played with the lever a bit. When the tractor isn't running the lever actually seems to spring down to the lowest position. When it is running it will fall at whatever speed the lowering speed knob is set to. But it will hold position if I hold the lever in place or use the set screw, which I'm told is a good sign, meaning its just a control issue and not hydraulics.

I'm going to try adjusting the nuts as suggested when it stops raining, but who knows when that will be....
