Does anyone know if a Light Truck tire would fit on the rear rim of my B7100? From my research, it looks like a 255/70-15 tire has the same diameter as the original 29x12.0-15 turf tire. Has anyone tried this? The light truck tire is about $100 each vs. the turf tires are about $200 each. Or does anyone know of a reasonably priced turf tire that would fit? I'm open to any other suggestions. I need new rubber and I'm trying not to spend too much. Thanks.

While I cannot comment specifically on your B7100, I would caution you to be very careful on tire selection with a 4x4 tractor.
Kubota's design has the front wheels slightly pulling the rears when driving straight ahead. Perhaps 5% difference in speed. This all changes when you start to turn when if you are on a hard surface or even a surface with lots of traction. Then you will feel the drive train fighting itself.
Unlike modern 4x4 or AWD machinery, the Kubota does not have a 3rd differential to deal with speed differences between the front and rear axles on turns.
Have you searched this and other forums + Kijii for good used turf tires of the size you need. Recently I helped a friend in Canada sell 4 turf tires and wheels that came on his B7100 when brand new. He did not like them and bought new ag tires and wheels within months of buying his tractor. The ag tires would not fit on the turf tire rims.
Finally, after 35 years he decided to sell the turf tires and rims which had been stored inside out of the light all that time.

I did some more research - having better luck searching OTT posts using Google search over the search function in this forum. Anyway, I found a post that discussed rolling circumference specs of the OEM turf tires. It was stated that the:
Front Tire: 63.75"
Rear Tire: 92.75
Ratio: 1.45
Acceptable Variance in tire circumference is 2%.

Can anyone confirm this information? Also, what is the width of the OEM rim for 29x12.00-15 turf tire. What are the actual diameter and width specs of the OEM Turf Tire?

For the Engineers out there, is my math in calculating rolling circumference correct: mounted tire diameter X 3.14 X.97. Note the .97 represents 97% since it is estimated that the actual circumference is reduced by about 3% when load is added.

Hi Kevin
I can not comment on if the truck tire will be compatible with you 4 x 4 tractor.I will tell you I was not willing to pay the price of new 27 -12.5x15 turfs for my high hour b6100 and chose to use truck tires instead, and the original rims were much to wide for the truck tires.ln the case of my b6100, and possibly your b7100,reasonably priced 15x8 impliments rims from tsc fit the Kubota perfectly and accepted the truck tires without issues.

They are just cheap generic tires, brand really doesn't matter only the size.
Size is 31-10.50 15 you could go with 29 -33 and I would jump up to a 12.50 width.
I used the Chevy rims that were on them and changed the hole spacing to fit, but they should fit on your 15" rim.
