I am used to paying about $10 a blade and buying in bulk a dozen at a time.

Not for the ZD1211...noooo sir... Kubota makes the center hole 1 5/16"... I would have to bore out an aftermarket blade to use it. Gee thanks Kubota, I don't mind paying your crazy price for the SUDTII but Geez.

CapnDean,

We have 3 of the ZD326 rear discharge mowers, and use the Kubota brand blades because they are stout and last for years. We change blades every 2 to 3 days of mowing, so having several sets of blades on the shelf, sharpened and ready to use comes in very handy. Also gives me something to do on rainy days. ;)

Good quality parts are usually worth the price.

Hustler, bad boy, kubota, JD, and grass hopper are all about the same price as far as blades go. The individual models have minor differences too. The murray comment doesn't fly, I was servicing my friend's Wizard the other day, blades for it were $78 for the set of 3. One is shorter than the other two. Stupid setup but there aren't many sources for those, so it's either pay it or run around with dull/broken/bent blades.
