Phillipm7060, have you measured the hydraulic oil temperature, normally hydraulic/transmission fluid it far too hot to touch.

Does tailgate on baler remain closed while baling?

When hyd oil is getting extremely hot the heat will transfer to baler gate cylinders from tractor due to frequency of cycling gate cylinders. Have you checked tractor hyd oil cooler to be sure air can flow through it?

It's my understanding the m7060 does not have oil cooler. The baler remains shuts and bails look good. The baler does not have a soft core, so it's under full pressure all the time.

The M7060 is equipped with a hydraulic oil cooler. Hot oil takes less power to pump than cold oil. The baler probably isn't your problem.

My father doesn't think it's in the baler either, the knoxville dealership thought it was going into "limp" mode for some reason and investigated this. Never got a full explanation on that one.

I believe the filter is called " Racor" made by Parker Co,they make different micon filter elements for their fuel filter housing ( 2 mic to 100 mic )

That's crazy. They should have filters to safeguard the fuel system. I asked several of the mechanics and service manager, what micron filter does Kubota use, and no one could answer me.
They used to be a 20 micron, don't know about these new ones but it wouldn't surprise me if it's the same.

I added a Dahl filter on one of mine. I use a 2 micron filter in it and never have fuel issues. It claims that nothing large enough to damage the fuel system can pass through which is suppose to eliminate fuel related pump and injector wear.
