I use a 3 pt (http://www.ramsplitter.com/Model3PT.html) to split 20 + face cords per year With my B2100 - it's not fast but neither am I!

Don't use use WD40 or anything oil based! Just clean it off with steel wool or 3m pads and WAX it - any good paste wax will keep it like new for years

Welcome to the site! I have the same series tractor and have had no problems with the RPM's being erratic and (I'm no mechanic but) I would drain a little oil. The yellow button does nothing on mine and the lights are on or off (no other postion) Hope that helps! --- BTW I'll take an ice cold...

It'll work - just not real fast - I use one on my B2100 to split about 20 cords every year! And it uses less than 1/2 the fuel that my stand-alone pull behind splitter used to!
