    "Autobody" repair and maintenance?

Thanks, @kubotafreak! What is hardened OEM paint and where can one get it? I imagined there was a body shop pro who liked to restore/repair tractors!

    "Autobody" repair and maintenance?

This may sound like the lamest question, but do any of you work on your tractor's looks with autobody-like repairs and touch-ups? Repair dents, wash and wax, grind and paint areas, buff it to look like new? Don't get me wrong, mine is a hard-working tractor, not a show one, but I like taking...

Value of an extended warranty on a used L47 purchase

Really great thoughts - and I have to start looking at costs in $1/hr. Love that quick analysis. It is under a business and will be using more than weekend warrior to redevelop a property into a homestead/retreat. Thank you!

Value of an extended warranty on a used L47 purchase

Thanks, @fried1765 - good stuff. I'll be re-developing 55 acres of property with 16 acres of farmland, 18 acres of fields and 18 acres of honeysuckle infested forest. And we have 12 or so RV sites to rehab into tiny cabin rentals. I imagine putting more than 100 hours on it with a wide...

Value of an extended warranty on a used L47 purchase

How's your day going? I bought a used 2019 270-hour Kubota L47 TLB. My dealer is currently looking it over and offered an extended Kubota warranty beyond April 2203 when the current warranty expires. 1 or 2 years. Any advice on doing the one or two year warranty? The unit was on a rental...

    Trailering a L47 TLB

Yes, I should have put the boom down on the deck! The rental yard loaded it for me and I didn't yet know what I was doing. Just took it over to the dealer and had the boom down. Thanks for pointing that out!

    Trailering a L47 TLB

Just circling back to share. I picked up my used L47 with a rented 18ft 10k equipment trailer. Everything fit within the trailer, ramps rotated up behind. Four 10,000 lb tie-down straps. 4 hours each way. Went off without a hitch! First haul. Learned a lot. New respect for big haulers!

    Trailering a L47 TLB

I'm picking up a used L47 on Monday! Just wondering if you have suggestions for the best places to tie it down to the trailer. Does it have tie downs?, use the axle, etc. Thank you for any pointers!

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Thanks for the thoughts on slopes! Hoping to pull out the honeysuckles I can with Danuser Intimidator and then cut and direct apply herbicide to the cambium for large specimens. At about 18 acres, it's going to be a big job, but will transform the woods for sure. We will be converting the RV...

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

As a product designer, I always love these well-designed multi-purpose tools. I bought a dilapitated Shopsmith Mark V in high school and rebuilt it because we had a tiny shop room in our basement. Thanks for suggesting it! It is probably just a little too flexible, general purpose than what I...

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Thanks, notforhire! All the feedback definitely has me rethinking my lean towards the skid steer...The L47 may just be a better all around and less costly, in terms of attachments, than the skid.

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Thanks, Smokeydog! I was under the imnpression skid steers are better on slopes.

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Yeah, it always comes down to the specifics of what an owner needs. I have no rough brush cutting, but I do have more finished fields. I'll use a ZT for those areas, neither the tractor nor skid steer. Thanks for chiming in!

L47 vs. SVL65 Breakout Force - trying to decide between two machines

Thanks, Paul. Yeah, I would definitely rent the cold planer to stick on the skid steer for that job. My key decision point rests on how well the L47 will work for clearing about 16 acres of invasive overgrown Honeysuckle bush. And there's some slopes. I'm thinking I will do it with the...
