    I guess

Pros and cons to both. I don’t have to split much at all, but we go through a heck of a lot more wood with the OWB and like you said I need electric to run the pump. If we lose power I still end up firing up the generator for the well so that part really isn’t an issue. OWB heats the whole...

    I guess

We go through about 10 cord a year. Luckily we have an OWB so very little has to be split. If I can lift it and it fits through the door, in it goes.

    Pallet Forks for MX4800?

I use 48” on my MX5400. The shorter the forks the harder it is to see the tips from the seat. If I position myself just right I can see the tips while sitting down but to make things easier I bypassed the seat safety switch. Now I can stand up to get a better view and am able to move forward or...

Long bushing for Cat 2 lift arms to mount Cat 1 implements?

I had the same issue with my BushHog and did as SDT said about using multiple and cutting one down. It took a little over 2.5 bushings on each side.

    Tractor drawbar

This guy came up with one of the slickest quick connects I have seen for putting a trailer hitch onto your drawbar.

    R.I.P The beloved Garden Tractor

I have a Ingersoll 4016 with 2800 hours on it, I bought it new back in 1996. It has a cat. 0 three point hitch with a set of hydraulic rear remotes, a 42” hydraulic tiller, 48” rear blade, 48” front blade and 48” front snow blower and a 48” mower deck. The thing is a beast, it’s amazing the...

    Winter is coming!

He actually got rid of his plow truck and brought the tractor to snow blow. He got sick of having to have a loader and dump truck come in to haul snow away part way through winter. I do wonder if it was the salesman that said this. I’ll tell him to check with the service department to see what...

    Winter is coming!

My BIL who lives in Michigan’s UP was told by his Kubota dealer to not use any fuel additives in his new LX. Must be the dealer figures the winter blend is all that is needed.

    WTF FedEx

I’ve had two different packages lost in transit in the last year. One was USPS, the other FedEx. USPS package showed up the day after the sending company agreed to send a replacement, FedEx package was never delivered and order was cancelled and a refund on the CC was issued. I worked in a...

M4 Work Shop Manual - No Hard Cover?

Yea I had the same deal. I wanted a hard copy and ordered one when I bought my MX5400 last year. Tried to get it thrown in with the deal but it was a no go. Paid about double what you paid. Expected the manual in a nice binder… nope, just came wrapped in plastic wrap. I new I could get a down...

Bypassing seat safety switch on 2021 MX6000

On the MX5400 you can stand up without the tractor dying. If you step on the treadle pedal to go forward or reverse without being in the seat the tractor will die.

    tiny mod: seat switch defeat

I upgraded from a Ford 860 to the MX5400. I have to say while on the 860 it is nice to be able to alternate between standing and sitting while brush hogging. Dangerous yes, stupid probably, but sure gives the back a break. I don’t know if it’s all me being a dumb*** or just growing up in an era...

Bypassing seat safety switch on 2021 MX6000

Thanks, that’s the one. So does anyone know how the switch is wired in or is it taboo to tell someone how to do it?

Bypassing seat safety switch on 2021 MX6000

I saw another thread a while back where a member wired in a momentary on-off switch which he mounted on the loader joystick. The set up looked really sweet. So when you say “wire in an on-off switch in parallel” which wire or wires would you tap into. If I remember correctly the switch was a...
