I seem to have a leak on the opposite side of my Z422 So far the expansion tank level for the hydros seems to hold steady with a small amount always visible. I got the Z422 especially for the suspension seat which is a game changer for this 75 yr old!

Hmmm..are the engine mount bolts easy to access? I have a Z422 w/24 hp Kawasaki. Am laid up with knee replacement recovery at the moment while my lawn turns into field but I may be given the go ahead to use my machine in about 2 more weeks…anyone have a diagram of the engine mount bolts location?

My Z422 has made a “noise” since new…it’s a “jingling” kind of noise when idling…looked high and low for something but to no avail. Mower is perfect and a joy to use otherwise…

That rubber caused my “step” (which the “floor” is called) to rot out under my feet because of standing water. Bought a replacement STEP and had it Line-X treated before putting it back on. Now the step will outlast the tractor.! 😊

lol… never even looked at mine til last year. It’s a 2013ish BX25D with over 1000 hours by now. Filler looked good but I blew it out anyway. 🤣 Original battery too!

I have switched to all Milwaukee tools over last 5-6 years except for my air tools which are basically for one job…sharpening my mower blades. Oh and I’ve owner FORD trucks all my life and have not had an issue with any of them. I hear GM stuff has been “questionable” lately. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Every time I mow, I rinse the whole machine after using my blower on it. And yes, I remove the spindle covers and blow the deck off too. Then I blow dry the machine after rinsing it off. My 3 year old Z422 still looks new!

Who took it off? I would think reversing the dismount process would be the way?

If I recall, my mower manual says engage at full throttle. Have to verify this but that’s what I recall.??

Yes! My mistake for sure! Did it to my old MMM on my BX because it seemed to stifle the cut grass being throw out…went to put it back on when I sold the deck and encountered this problem. Bought a brand new Z422 and I’m leaving the rubber guard ON this time…seems to disperse the cuttings fine!

This happens to me when I don’t let the motor warm up quite enough…solution? Let the motor warm up a bit more then engage the blades at FULL THROTTLE.

Those are definitely a puzzle…have had fits trying to put one together before…good luck!

I just put my FEL back on the other day after a winter sitting outside…only one connector gave me trouble but working the loader stick all around and on the 2nd try it clicked in. What was worse was in the summer when dropping the FEL to and BH to mow…those fittings were fickle when HOT!

yup…I don’t go by inches… go by looks and feel..for my poor grass anyway. 😊

Z422 here as well…My “lawn” is not good quality grass…when it’s high after periods of rain, a 3.5 setting is good. Another part is all steep hill and usually dry and dusty and the grass doesn’t grow as long….its a dustbowl but it gets cut at 2.5ish. Part of the flatter area is lush grass because...
