After watching a YT video by CallMeColt regarding removing the fuel tank on his BX2350, would it now be as "easy" or even easier to remove the rubber floor mat and floor plate to access the fuel filter adjacent to the lift pump? Thanks.
If you're going to bypass a filter bypass the second one in the engine compartment. The first one will prevent anything from getting into the fuel pump.I am seriously thinking about bypassing the first filter and just replacing only the one in the engine compartment.
In my case, I believe the 'cuisties' was dead algae. I cut open the filter and the material clogging it was sort of of, like something that bonded to itself as organics (like a scab) do. Had it been rust, it would of been flaky/crumbly, it would not 're-assemble into a solid chunk'.Through a bit of research I found that a clogged filter on these is not so much due to grit from the fuel source but more so the deterioration (rusting) of the sending unit and related hardware inside the tank.
