I have a BX25D and am selling a ripper tooth (BroTek) Is the pin size and configuration the same for a BX23S? Someone asked me if it fits his BX23s backhoe bucket holes.

Did my swap over to snowblower today (nice dry warm day). Before that, I moved my sand barrels into place and filled them with sand…last season, I forgot this step and had to huff barrels, stands and sand by wheelbarrow. I won’t forget that step again! I’ll be mowing with my Z422 sometime this week…it’s been sitting quite a while now so if I see this I’ll report back (don’t recall seeing blue smoke before on startups.) With the choke on full I would expect a “puff” of blue because of the rich mixture at full choke?

I get that sporadically when blowing snow in the extreme cold…seems like a “switch” problem more than anything in my case…sometimes working the switch back and forth a few times makes them work again. No problem the rest of the “warmer” seasons.

Wow! In my opinion, the job of installing it is pretty tough so once on and running, it STAYS on until April!

If I’m not mistaken (have to look it up) but the snowblower manual says to use WOT when operating the blower…same with a mid mount deck as well…anyway, been doing mowing and blowing for years this way and nothing has “blown up” yet…knock on wood, of course…

There’s a 6 foot 110v cord attached to it…I suppose I could cable tie the cord up to the tractor somewhere…? I’ll look into this…don’t know why I didn’t think of that before???🤪 Maybe I thought it would fall off during snowblowing?

My block heater (BX25D w/5455HD BLOWER in its “winter mode”) died a couple years ago…I actually bought a new one thinking I could swap it out myself…WRONG. Couldn’t get the bad one unseated from the engine block no matter how hard I tried. Had to quit before I busted a hole in the block. So...

Mine is a 2012 as well…metal hood and fenders, etc. has 2 plastic “knobs” that you unscrew to loosen the hood to slide it forward. Just a slotted section of the hood that fits beneath the knobs. Pictures of yours would certainly help!

You mean the “KNOBS” with the plastic heads won’t turn? My older Bx has these. Hood removal is easy but sometimes a pain to re-align when putting it back on…

I have a BX25d that is going on 12 years old and nothing has peeled. I’ll have to look to se if there even ARE any decals on my machine! 😊
