BX2680 losing all power and hydraulics.

I have a 2021 BX that I bought new. Even now, I only have 60 hrs. I recently had it serviced. All filters replaced and fluid flushed. It is hard for me to get any service up here. The one guy we have is not very reliable. (I'll be up there in an hour means sometime in the next three weeks)...

    Expanding field, clearing stumps.

A little over two years ago, I gave up my house in the suburbs to my daughter and moved into the mountains. I'm 70, sold my business and did very well. I bought 18 acres with a nice house on top of a mountain. I am not near anything. Just the way I like it. And I have a view to die for...

    App for Orange Tractor Talks

I like to access this forum on my phone. Sometimes directly from the tractor. Pulling out up in a browser is nearly useless on a phone and my phone has a pretty big screen. I do have a shortcut to my desktop but a dedicated app would be great.

    Simple Chicken Coop

We just got into the Chicken egg business. Have 9 Rock Barred hens in the basement that I'll have to coop in two weeks. We are giving 3 or 4 to the kids (they already have 6) and the rest will be ours. We live secluded on an 18 acre hill in the north Georgia mountains and are pretty much...

    Tips on not

I own an 18 acre hill with about 3 acres of manageable slopes. My BX2680 is my first tractor and I love it. I only have 50 hours in the saddle but I've gotten quite a bit done over the past 2 years. I'm in the north Georgia mountains. My concerns are now tip-overs. I've put down more...

    Just got my box grader

Less than 50 total tractor hours time over two years. My property is an 18 acre hill with about 3 acres level enough to garden. Looking for technical guidance. I realized it is not simply driving around pulling and pushing a box around my property. 30 years ago, while in the Navy, I had to...

Is there anything that pisses me off more???

Nothing I hate more than having that spring loaded ring on the clevis pin snap and hit my fingers. I swear, it is worse than hitting your thumb with a hammer. Mine are numb so that doesn't hurt anymore. LOL But having that ring snap my finger on a cold morning takes 60 years of Church...

48 in Dirt Dog Box grader Cat 1/3

I have been looking for a small box grader for 18 months. During Covid, the lag was nearly that long. I found a small one at a local tractor shop. I did what little research I could and found that the manufacturer is only 40 miles away. I like that. The one pictured sells for close to $1000...

The things you find in your game camera

Set one up at the end of the field, mainly to see if deer are getting into the garden. Have seen deer, lots of rabbits, opossums and now He's a big boy It is not uncommon for me to run out there in the middle of the night when I here it storming to cover up portions of the garden.

    3 point throttle

BX2380 I only have 11.7 hrs. experience so go easy on me. Below my seat is a knob. I rarely ever touch it. I did have to to get my center mow deck to raise and lower. I looked it up and found that it is the throttle for the rear 3 pt. My question is, when and why would I ever use that? Thanks

Winter Rye in a dead field

New to farming or as I say, what I know about farming I learned from watching Green Acres. I live in the north Georgia mountains. I have 18 acres on the top of a hill. Much of the hill looks scalped, possibly from wind but we do get a lot of rain up here. We are the wettest county east of...

Signed up for the long haul

I just joined for the life time membership plan. But then I read the fine print and discovered it expires in 60 years!!! What a rip off. I'm 68. So if I live to 128 years old and am still pushing dirt from the top side, I am going to have to renew?

out on a limb no more

the back of my property slopes steeply, so the back of my roof is probably 40 above gound. I have had this nagging branch that sweeps down on my roof, especially when raining. The offending branch is probably 50 ft. high, or higher than I want to climb with a chainsaw. I found this rope chain...
