I have a L2501. I would have bought a L3800 or L3400 if that would have been an option. I would buy an MX if I had to buy a DPF tractor. Do you have to pay sales tax on the used one? If not, that makes the L3800 an even better deal.

There are probably some, but few people think they retired too early. The more common case is retiring too late. YMMV.

I don't think the fuel system is that complicated. I guess I'd look for a different shop if you can't do what GreensvilleJay said yourself.

I'm not sure the pictures show how it really is, but I'd consider taking the other side to a fab shop to see if they can make one for a reasonable price that is close and buy a can of spray paint.

Mostly, they do work although at some point you have to replace the batteries. A Ranger owner posted a question about replacements the other day. If you go that route, it might worth checking on the cost to replace the batteries.
