Enjoyed the L2501 HST with R4s on snow first time with bucket.

After reading that R4s were horrible in snow, I wasn’t sure what to expect on snow with my new L2501 HST with R4s and loaded tires with bucket only. I was a bit apprehensive and played for a bit up near my upper shed before making the plunge down my driveway. I was hoping I wouldn’t need my...

    Dirt Plowing with my b2650

No idea, but it would depend on how deep you go. For that use, consider a ripper or middle buster which would also be much cheaper. They are adjustable depth with your 3 point, so you could always make more than one pass. Fwiw, the guy on youtube that has a L3901 and Christmas tree farm uses...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I picked up a grade 70 chain from Harbor Freight on sale. Interesting enough, it was only $2 less than Home Depot. I got a carrier to put on the ROPS and floor mats bought from Hawk67 mentioned in the Fabrication forum. ROPS Basket...

    Thinking about building a trailer

It might be worth increasing the search distance to find what you are looking for. Assuming NJ is for New Jersey, my local guy in MT is probably too far. ;)

    Thinking about building a trailer

I stopped by to talk to my local trailer builder to upgrade after buying a tractor. His material costs have doubled over a short amount of time. He’s hoping the prices won’t keep rising. Because of that, he’s building less models and larger equipment haulers with 5200 lb axles.. That’s fine...

    R1 or R4 Tires

I believe R4s have different OEM rims on many models. I don’t know about yours. I see lots of people on youtube doing lots of “tractor” work with R4s. I don’t think they are inherently bad, but it just depends on your application. I chose R4s since the ground on my ranch is hard almost all...

    Rear blade mod question

It seems like the commercial snow plows are super reinforced. I think it’s doable, but probably not a good idea to skimp on the reinforcement of the quick attach. I’ve thought about buying one of the 1/4 quick attach plates and then welding receivers for my UTV blade attachments that connect...

    FORD DEATH WOBBLE

I had an older model (2006) for 8 1/2 years and never experienced it. But, if you think you might, add a dual front stabilizer kit for off roading. It will slow down the oscillation and was the fix years ago for other vehicles with straight front axles.

    Grading a new driveway

My tractor doesn’t get delivered until Thurs, but I’ve been watching youtube videos. It seems like many of the commercial landscape/excavator guys put large rock down and then smaller rocks. I know when my road was built that’s the way it was done. For the main road, he also used a road level...

    Loading Polaris Ranger with dirt/gravel/rocks

I’m looking for ideas on how to load my Polaris Ranger midsize with 42 in bed with a 66 in bucket. I can imagine that there would be occasions when it would be much faster to take a load to a distant area with the Ranger. One thought was to buy/build a 36 inch bucket. Another was to build...

Box Scraper VS Grading Scraper - l2501 - Which to choose?

Tornado’s explanation is pretty good. Great job. I went with a landplane/grading scraper because it is supposed to much easier for an inexperienced person to use since you don’t have to raise/lower the blade just to get rid of material. It seems like experienced people prefer the box blade. I...
