L2501 - broke the exhaust manifold

If one an fix something like this on a tractor for $250 or so, time and effort and ultimately money ahead to just replace with new, as you decided. You could fool around with the old manifold and try out repairing it for a spare, at your leisure, and meanwhile your tractor is back up running and...

Land Pride 48 inch snow pusher ?

I replaced the blade on my Land Pride rear blade and added skid shoes. I ended up needing a few longer bolts in this project and Kubota dealer had them.

Grand L4760 will i regret not going to 5460 or 6060.

I have bought three Kubotas over the years, same dealer but never any "negotiation" but as a repeat customer I did get a bit of a break on my most recent one [4701]. I didn't ask for it, he just muttered something about how he could give a bit for customer loyalty. However, this last time I was...

Buying a tractor with bad blowby

$5 K sounds, in reality, too low as you won't really know what all is "wrong" with this thing. Could be $500 but.... And I am not clear on why the machine has to be dragged to start the engine... If it's the starter, price out the replacement starter and add that to overhaul cost and figure it...

    50 Hour service

I've had three Kubota tractors over the past 25 years, and I've done all the services on them. Only been in once for warranty work, and it was about a hundred hours on the meter, and no one asked me anything about service records or etc. I didn't even think of it. I did have one other warranty...

How far do you travel on your tractor?

i drive my tractor now and then a mile up our road to help my 93-yr-old neighbor with various tasks. The road is unimproved and very rocky. It is only a 2-mile round trip but i do see extra wear on my ag' tires. They are certainly not ruined or anything, but the wear is noticeable.

    Kubota L4802

That probably does not include the loader, right? Hope I'm wrong.... Friend was googling around about the 4802 and said he's seeing projected prices around $38,000 but that was with a loader. My 4701 with loader was, just pre-pandemic, something like $31K before a couple discounts

    Tooth Bar??

I don't have a tooth bar, so I don't know precisely how they're attached...with several bolts/nuts? If so, would a small, battery-powered impact wrench carried on the tractor be able to zip off the nuts in two minutes? I am just thinking here.

    Newbie fuel level question

Yes my 4701 shows full or nearly so when I find I can add almost another five-gal jug of diesel.

    Rear Differential Lock Question

On my 4701, as with my L3000 before, tractor must move slightly almost every time to engage rear lock. I am in an often snowy/icy region and use the rear dif' lock frequently. All my tractors have been manual transmission.

    Buying a UTV

I was thinking I read somewhere recently that Kubota was going to discontinue its utility vehicles. Is this the case?

    How wide for rear blade

Check whether you can simply replace the blade with a longer one. I did that on my Land Pride when I bought a new, wider tractor.

    Kubota bounces down the road

My 4701 with ag tires bounces on our one-lane dirt county road. I learned to just slow down. Bounce gone now.

    L4701 oil change

For my tractor, which happens to be a 4701 but used to be a couple other models, I change once a year, oil and filter. Usually put about 70 hr a year on it, but would change even if I used it less than that. Get those acids and etc. out of the oil with some fresh stuff.

Tell me what NOT to do!

When I bought my first tractor, mid-90s, dealer took me to the back lot and showed me two Kubotas that were a real mess. Each had rolled over, one down a hillside an the other down into a creekbed. Both drivers lived and were ok, and both were wearing the seat belt. Might want to consider making...

Dealer warns front axle will wear out if left in 4x4

I am on my third Kubota in 30 years and live where roads are dirt and driveways gravel and the slopes steep. In the mountains, in other words. Each of my tractors, bought new, went into 4WD when the delivery truck set them on the [dirt/gravel] ground and did not leave 4WD until a truck picked...

Took used oil and coolant to Advanced Auto

My Kubota dealer accepts used oil. I've never taken it there, but every time I buy oil they remind me.
