    Heater Core

I posted in a different area a month or so ago the the heater in my tractor will not blow warm air. I was told to check coolent level, which i knew was ok, but rechecked and is still ok. Along with checking for shut off valve, which i have traced and retraced heater lines and can not find one...

    Cab heater

I noticed the other day that my cab (l3540) was not really getting very warm. Temps were still in 30's, so i wasnt cold, but heat was turned all the way up, with blower on high. I currently have a hand injury (degloved left hand) so cant really tear into it to give good inspection of what is...

    L3540 vs MX6000

Just an update, I picked up my tractor, dealership never contacted me with a price on the 6000 so I guess they don’t want to sell it very bad... Been a couple weeks and not considering the offer any longer... I’ll keep what I have

    L3540 vs MX6000

Mind is not made up, going to pickup my tractor tomorrow haven’t heard their offer on the MX yet. I’m willing to listen, if it’s a doable deal with them covering engine for reasonable amount of hours, I could be interested....

    L3540 vs MX6000

The dealership has been using the tractor around the lot, pulling box scraper and such. So it has hours on it since the incident...

    L3540 vs MX6000

Drilled a small hole in wrong place in the block while installing block heater. Patched hole with JB weld offering full warranty from factory on everything except water in oil. Say if that happens they (dealership) will warranty it! Cab tractor with loader.

    L3540 vs MX6000

Bought a L3540 in March been having issues with it. Was at dealship today and was asked about looking at a new MX6000 they need to get rid of. MX has a dealership created issue that Kubota won’t cover but dealship will, as if it fails they will turn in on insurance. Trade money was no...

    Your expert opinion please

One bonus I can see (other than not adding a 3rd outlet) would be keeping you from over loading and trying to lift too much! By having to use only loader arms to lift off the ground you wouldn't be able to lift as much weight. Long run it could save you wear and tear on the whole tractor &...

Sorry just saw this. You can get straight #1 in Brookings, goto Martin Oil on Railroad Street, not promoting anyone but they are cheap and handle lots of AG fuel, if Elkton and and Aurora dont have #1. Im pretty sure Skyview at Elkton has it. Not sure if Aurora has #1 or blended, used to work...

    3pt arms with backhoe mounts

I bought my L3540 this summer it came with a BH72. It also came with the 3pt arms and the loader brackets that i assume are used if it did not have a backhoe. I have disconnected the backhoe a few times but have yet to put the 3pt arms on. I am rebuilding a feedlot at my place and took the...

New to diesel -- what don't I know?

The additives really are a personal choice, I know of friends that run no additive, and I have friends that run additives all year long. Some guys that run 100% number 1 in winter with zero additive tractors/pickups never see heated shed/garage and have no issues gelling. I have been bit in...

New to diesel -- what don't I know?

Running out of fuel versus changing fuel filters now days is not a whole lot differant. Additive wise, yeah its what you research and what you listen too... You live in SD, Runnings carries Stanadyne (clear bottle with blue lable) and assume you live close to a John Deere dealer. From my...

    Hydraulic Temp

Ive notice while using the backhoe that when I happen to touch one of the cylinders the temp is fairly warm. It wont burn you but you wouldn't want to keep your hand on it very long. Is there anything to do? Filters are all less than 50 hours, changed all when I bought machine. Thanks in advance.

    Bolt on cutting edge

Looking to get a bolt on cutting edge. I have a LA724 loader with a 72" bucket. I have a friend with a plasma cutter to cut the holes in the current edge. Kubota wants 300 + for a 72" with 12 holes, I've checked around and bobcat has a 74" for around 270. Ive searched in the forums and see...
