    Recommendations repairing hydraulic cylinder trunnion

Just wanted to round the thread off. A local machinist turned the trunnions on a mill with an outside boring head (exactly like this video on youtube ) and slipped a hardened sleeve over the trunnions with a 2-3 mil interference fit. He did both cylinders for $350, a good bit of savings over...

    Recommendations repairing hydraulic cylinder trunnion

Fortunately the boss for the bushings are still good. I’d rather stick to spec sizes so kubota’s greaseable bushings do the job, although I’m sure there are off the shelf ones close in size. The spec bushings are 1-3/4 id, 2-1/8 od, 1-1/4 long. @Lil Foot thanks I’ll check that out

    Recommendations repairing hydraulic cylinder trunnion

Is there a tool for a mill that can machine the OD of the pins? Kind of like a plug cutter. If there is, I imagine welding it up and using that tool would be the way to go. I'm not sure what that tool would be called. If I knew it might make it easier asking machine shops if they have that tool...

    Recommendations repairing hydraulic cylinder trunnion

Hey, I have an L48 and the backhoe swing cylinders need some repairs. The trunnions on them are supposed to be 1-3/4" OD, they're closer to 1.65" now (not consistent either). Would it be possible for a machine shop to weld them back up and machine them back to spec? I'm not familiar with trying...

D1402 head replaced now oil leaks out exhaust

Engine is running well, looks like the diesel slobber hypothesis was correct! Random question: any idea why my excavator has a tire iron in the engine compartment? Has a special place and all.

D1402 head replaced now oil leaks out exhaust

Injectors came back all good. I have not been running any load on it, just getting the head back on there and testing it out at idle. I’ve never heard of “diesel slobber”, but it could be that. When I pulled the injectors off they were pretty wet with diesel. Is this an artifact of running...

D1402 head replaced now oil leaks out exhaust

The new head came with new valves and springs pre installed. The handful of times I’ve pulled the head off I haven’t noticed any noticeable amounts of oil on the pistons. Maybe the valve seals are junk. I compression tested cylinder 3 and it was good, I’ll check 1 and 2 tomorrow. How would I go...

D1402 head replaced now oil leaks out exhaust

Closest thing I can see in the parts breakdown is item#200 in the parts diagram is an oring. But it looks like its under a pin/pipe. It also doesn't look that close to an exhaust valve. It's definitely black engine oil, not diesel nor coolant.

D1402 head replaced now oil leaks out exhaust

Hello, I'm in the midst of putting a new head on a D1402 in an old trackhoe. Got the head and gasket kit as a set off ebay. Head seems to be of the same quality as all the aftermarket d1402 heads out there. Reinstall went fine except for a number of small fuel leaks that required new copper...

Starter motor signal connector and window gasket

Hey, I just replaced the starter on my Kh66 trackhoe and this starter solenoid has a connector as pictured in the attachment. Just a single spade connection. Anyone have a link on one of these? Also, the sliding glass windows of the trackhoe rattle around like all hell, there's no rubber or...

    Kubota Kh70 replacement bucket teeth

My local kubota dealer also doesn’t have kh70 in their system. The serial number and model number are stamped where the boom mounts to the chassis. Might have to clean it up a bit. For parts diagrams, look up kh66 on Coleman equipment...
