L48 only starts by jumping a wire from the battery post on the starter to the white plug?

Glad you got it resolved. I also have an L48 and had occasional starting problems over the past couple years. Once it was the negative cable from the battery to the chassis, the other time it was the wire connector at the starter coming loose.

    Kubota Kh70 replacement bucket teeth

Wow a fellow unicorn owner! Mine's actually an old Hitach EX30 from before they partnered with Deere. Machine is stamped with KH70, just a rebranded Kubota. Do you have an KH70 specific literature you can share? I've been using KH66 parts diagrams and workshop manual, seems nearly everything is...

    Kubota Kh70 replacement bucket teeth

Hey all, have you guys seen bucket teeth like this? Would you know where to buy a replacement from? The ones I see now don't have the curved profile in the back.

    Kx71 dipperstick dimensions

If someone could do the measurements on a kx91 or kx121.. you'd be a life saver. I believe the kx71 has 35mm pins, whereas the 91 and 121 have 40mm.

    Kx71 dipperstick dimensions

I was wrong on pin size. The dipper stick pins are 40mm. The boom pins are 45mm but that doesn’t matter for now.

    Kx71 dipperstick dimensions

Ok I attached photos with the relevant dimensions. I think the length of the stick isn't important, as long as it's roughly close. One big issue I just realized is that all my pins are 1.5", and results online show the Kx71 using 35mm.

    Kx71 dipperstick dimensions

Hello, would anyone with a KX71 be willing to take some measurements of the dipperstick arm? I have an old 80s rebranded Kubota KH70 with a twisted dipperstick arm (pick attached), and would like to replace it with a used one for less than a fortune. Perhaps the arms are compatible...

L48 BT1100 Backhoe Fixing bushing play

For example, "line boring" the hole on the end of a hydraulic cylinder rod would involve removing the rod, squaring the length of the rod to the mill's spindle, and boring the hole? If the hole was way bigger than the pin stock, would you weld in steel boss and then press a bronze bushing into that?

    Sounds like I need a bridgeport :D

L48 BT1100 Backhoe Fixing bushing play

That's a bummer, seems like a relatively easy thing to do at the factory to set everything up right with hardened bushings and softer pins. I'm the second owner (bought at 2900 hrs). I certainly understand that maintenance and things wearing out is an inevitability... just wish they made it...

L48 BT1100 Backhoe Fixing bushing play

Is repairing the bushings on a backhoe like this doable for someone without a mill/lathe? I do have a cutting torch (not that good with it yet) and a welder. The bushings for both swing cylinders, as well as a couple bushings near the bucket are pretty wallered (oval shaped). I'm curious how...

Nevermind, found it in the general section in the workshop manual.

    L48 Fuse box diagram

Hey all, would anyone mind taking a picture of their fuse box label on a Kubota L48? Mine is completely faded, so I can't see any of the labels. Also, astonishingly, the workshop manuals do not have fuse box diagram anywhere that I could find. Thanks! John

    L3830 engine swap

Hey all, I'm looking at buying a used L3830 that needs an engine (current one threw a rod). I got the engine plaque from the guy, it has an D1803-M-ES engine. I found a reasonably priced D1803 on the fleabay, engine model D1803-M-ET07. Do you think this would fit, especially if I have the old...
