    L2550 Engine Removal Tips?

Thank you for advice. I'm definitely waiting for the WSM. I just didn't know if anyone had any hard-earned experience to share once I start.

    L2550 Engine Removal Tips?

While I'm waiting on a WSM, does anyone have any experiences or tips to share on removing the engine from an L2550? I have been slowing restoring one that was in a field for many years before I purchased it. It looked very neglected and sun-faded, but had very low hours (less than 400) and very...

    Paint and Rust

I had the same issue on my BX1800. I just sanded the rust back - not completely off, just clean and smooth. Then, I primed it with Rustoleum Rust Reformer. After 24 hours, I spray painted with Kubota OEM paint. 2 years later, it seems to still look great and I have no rust issues. I don't have a...

BX1500 stalling after taking out of neutral

I have a BX1800 with the same filters. Last year, I added an after market filter kit that deletes the two smaller filters and adds a large filter to the side of the machine. It has been a great upgrade and changing the filter is very easy now as you don't have to crawl under the tractor or...

    BX2330 won't start

I've got a BX1800. Sometimes, my starter gets stuck; mine is probably on its way out. At any rate, I just open the hood and, as I'm turning the key, give the starter a light tap with a hammer to get it moving. Again, nothing too hard, just a tap to get it moving.

    WTB: LA211 or BF400G Loader

I would really like to outfit one of my current tractors with a loader. I have a BX1800 that takes an LA211 loader and an L2550 that takes a BF400G loader.

    L2550 Shuttle Shift Trans Fluid

I would really appreciate your suggestions for a suitable transmission fluid for an L2550 with a shuttle shift, i.e. not GST. I have the Operator's Manual that lists a few alternatives to the Kubota fluids, and I was hoping to find an alternative that's easy to get at a local auto parts store...

Rebuilding My Tree Damaged Kubota BX24

That's good work! I'm always amazed at how much trouble replacing such a simple plastic fan is. I replaced mine - as well as the boots, etc. - and it took me quite a long time.

    My First Tractor!

Great video and a super pretty piece of property. You can tell it was much loved. I got my first tractor - a completely roached BX1800 - this time last year. I tore it down and fixed it up over the course of about 6 months with no mechanical experience and it was a blast. There are tons of...

    BX1500 HST "SNAP" Broke?

I did a similar repair on my BX1800, but, rather than that linkage, I had to replace the small hydraulic cylinder next to it. In my case, that cylinder was completely seized. After I replaced it, the pedal worked great.

    Paint for Kubota Plastics

I'd love to try and polish it first, and if that doesn't work then paint it. How would you recommend polishing it? I haven't ever done that.

    Paint for Kubota Plastics

I've got a BX1800 that I am restoring. It all looks great, but the orange plastic on the engine surround is faded. On my BX the grill and sides are plastic, and the organs on this part is in good shape, but is badly faded. I'd love to repaint it. Does anyone have experience doing this with the...

    adendum to bx2200 died

Here is my pseudo expert thoughts. How is the engine temp? My radiator screen recently became clogged as I mowed some dry grass and, as the temp increased, the tractor would really bog down under load. After a few minutes of this and before the temp climbed too high, I noticed the screen was...

    BX Steer Cylinder

Thank you for posting this! My BX1800 has very slow leaks out of each end of the steering cylinder so this is on my "to do" list. I was about to buy that kit, but I may just replace it now.
