D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

I was able to order a competitor's brand adapter that should fit my compression tester off Newegg.com for about $19 including shipping. I'll see how quick it gets here. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1B10NY7106 From the pictures on the HarborFreight website it looks like...

D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

I was a little off on where I got a good shot of the Valve cover vent tube, it's actually around the 4:20 mark on the video.

D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

Well I did make a crappy video, https://youtu.be/FL6g9PXOTHs a little long but you can see at the beginning it starts with white smoke but clears up after a couple moments and then near the end I finally got a good angle you can see the exhaust coming out of the tube. A lot of what's in the...

D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

Hi Jk, I'll have to look at my tester to see what adaptors it has, I know I can also purchase more from the manufacturer's website. But if I strike out I may take you up on borrowing your adaptor. Lugbolt, looking at my valve cover vent hose more closely it appears that its a clear fiber...

D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

The engine has almost 1100 hours on it, which doesn't seem like a lot. I'll try to do a compression test on it this weekend.

D722 Engine Question - Puffing Smoke and Oil out of the breather hose

This question is related to the problem I had posted last week about blowing my main oil seal on my G1900 because of a Mud Dauber building a nest at the end of the hose. Since re-inserting the seal and putting a couple of hours on the tractor I've noticed that I do get significant puffing of...

New Question: G1900 w/ D722 Engine - change main oil seal...

Also, unless the seal looks really worn I may just put some seal retainer or locktite on the outer diameter and tap it back into place. Now that I'm pretty sure I know what happened I also figure that my original fear of running the engine after this happened with a possible compromised oil...

New Question: G1900 w/ D722 Engine - change main oil seal...

I was wondering whether or not to call it a "Rear Seal" because of the fact the engine is bass-ackwards on the frame. But that really is what it is.

New Question: G1900 w/ D722 Engine - change main oil seal...

Can it be done inside the tractor? How hard is it? Will I need special tools? It appears that I may be able to remove the flywheel without removing the engine. I would like to know if anyone has ever done this before on this tractor and engine and what, if any, problems did they encounter...

1989ish G1900: Totally bummed out... did I just blow my main seal?

I had seen this early on, was thinking it was a vent for the trans. I was planning on cleaning it out before I started using the tractor, but forgot. After tracing the hose out from the crankcase breather pipe, turns out this is actually the breather vent for the engine.

1989ish G1900: Totally bummed out... did I just blow my main seal?

After finishing all the necessary repairs this afternoon I was all ready to take my new to me G1900 out and put it thru its paces to see how well it works. As I was letting it idle after just putting on a new throttle cable, I heard a "pachewwww"... sound kinda like an old inner tube popping...

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Oh, forgot to mention that not only is it a low serial number, it also has fairly low hours, at about 1090 hrs.

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Yes, I think my missing component is a regulator. I can see that I can buy one cheap on ebay for about $32. Do I buy it now or try to determine the AC Dynamo is still working or not because there is also the option to buy both. Took a better look at it today (still not moved it home tho') and...

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

hmm, Looks like I've got a dynamo. Could be it. Would still like to see some pictures of the area under the dash, I don't see how anything would be mounted underneath there and I can't believe things like the fuse block or a regulator would be left to swing free. Thanks!

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Oh yeah, I do have that schematic in my book but I can't reconcile the wire colors between the picture and the diagram. I'll have to physically chase the wires out and see what goes where. And the steering wheel is barely attached. All that orange framework in the center support is coming...

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Pretty sure the connector that has the wires cut is hiding behind the vertical support in this picture. You can barely see it. The one that's peeking out to the right of the support is one that has it's wires intact.

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Actually I've done both, I have the actual shop manual I bought off Ebay and I pulled up the Kubota Parts diagram from the Kubota web site. I haven't been able to match up the wiring diagrams to the connector because I'm not seeing the wire colors in the book that I'm seeing in the picture...

New to me G1900: What... am I missing???

Hi Everyone, Just brought home said G1900, not running condition. It does look promising tho'. It's missing several things which I hope to find/collect (i.e. Seat, screen cover below steering wheel, front headlight cover, bracketing for steering wheel assy??) The one thing I'm not sure of...
