PTO driven stump grinder for small tractors

Got my Woodland Mills stump grinder about 2 weeks ago and was finally able to set it up this weekend. How refreshing to have a manual written in proper English and very detailed. Set up was a breeze except I had to buy a caliper for the slip clutch adjustment. Practiced on a few stumps before...

    PTO cable problem - adjustment/lubrication?

Had the exact same problem with my L3800. Clean out the debris between the lever and casing. Then hose down the lever and shaft with lubricant. Haven***8217;t had an issue since.

Anyone using Rural King tractor umbrella?

I have a ton of trees I mow around and underneath. When I got my L3800, the fiberglass canopy already had a crack it it from the previous owner hitting a limb. After a year, it was falling apart from all the cracks. Needed something cheap and durable. Best thing was a golf cart canopy. Molded...

    L175 Canopy... Suggestions?

Ditto on the golf cart canopies. Tuff, light weight and flexible so when you catch that tree branch it won’t bend all to heck. Golf cart dealers have tons of used ones laying around. Call around and you should be able to find one dirt cheap.

New BX23 - how many hours is no longer new?

My first thought would be to tell them to pound sand and walk away. However, I would talk to Mgt. and give them a chance to come on board. One thing I would definitely let them know is I am picking out MY tractor. My money, my tractor. As far as hours, if you want one with 0 hours, you may have...

    Anyone recognize this switch

Found this momentary switch on my driveway apron after having driven my tractor over it. I don’t think it came from my L3800 but not positive. Everything seems to be functioning on the tractor. Could have been picked it up from the asphalt millings in the drive. Anyone recognize it as a Kubota...

    Old Kubota's at Parade

Itbmine, If you are looking for an old classic I’d look for a 9N, 2N or 8N Ford. They are plentyful, as are the parts for them. I had a 9N I used for years on my 5 acres and it did me well. Just sold it last year after I upgraded to the Kubota. Tractor supply still carries parts for them.

    New L3800 Canopy Cheap

Would have liked to keep the original but it had 8 inch chunks missing and was beyond repair. Good job on the glass work.

    New L3800 Canopy Cheap

Been looking at options for a replacement canopy for my L3800. Mine was brittle and broken from the Florida sun and 5 acres of pine trees. Replacement ones from Kubota were outrageous and one guy wanted $800 to make a diamond plate one. So last week, was sitting across the street from a golf...

    Parts falling off

Holy Smokes! Cherry Log GA? If you see the new guy in town driving around an old 9N Ford say hi. He’s a good guy. Sold him that 9N when I bought my L3800 and then he moved to Cherry Log. Glad you solved your mystery.

    Bad starter or safety switch?

Mine has had similar starting issues recently. Narrowed down to the clutch safety switch.

    Just bought this L3400

Had the same issue. Pried the latch apart and cleaned it up. A little WD and working it got it functioning again. Had to wrap the casing with tape to hold the plastic together but works fine. I wear it every time I'm on it.

    L3800 price check

Jason, I purchased a 2012 L3800 in January here in Florida. 4wd, HST, LA524, Ag tires, canopy, 185 hrs. with Land Pride 60" bush hog and a box blade. Asking was $15k which I found to be very reasonable. Shot the guy an offer of $13k and he took it. After I got it home and got into it I realized...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

No rain in a while so I figured it was a good time to clean gutters as we were doing yard work. Easiest way I have found is have the wife lift me up with the bucket of my L3800. I know some of you will say that's just dangerous. I can tell you it's a whole lot safer than climbing a ladder.

    7610 won't start.

Just FYI you can adjust that HST switch that's causing your problems so you don't have to rock the pedal anymore.

    MX5800 - price variations

I drove 7 hours to save thousands on my Goldwing motorcycle. I take it to the local dealer for my service. They once asked me why I didn't buy it there. I was straight with them and we still have a good relationship. I don't think they will treat you bad if you are paying for the service.
