Mower Deck - Won't Go To Top

*** RESOLVED *** Wanted to post an update. Quick version - Seems to have been the bolt pictured below. Maybe considered the side link bolt. Rereading RCW's post, this is what he was referring to. I was picturing something under the tractor. The service guy yesterday had suggested this, but...

Mower Deck - Won't Go To Top

imnukensc - Thanks for posting the diagram. I appreciate it. Also, that cable I was referring to was with the deck off. It's right next to the height adjustment knob and shaft. I still don't know what it's for, but it's unrelated to this. Orangeglow - I turn the RPMs up high. Historically...

Mower Deck - Won't Go To Top

When I was under it, towards the driver's side but right by the knob shaft I saw a cable. It went into a 90 degree elbow. There was a nut on both sides of the elbow. I was wondering if that was related. Does that sound right, and if so, do you know which nut might be the one to adjust? The one...

Mower Deck - Won't Go To Top

BX2360 with 60" deck. Won't go high enough to rotate height gauge to top, and past it. I can rotate through all the heights, but when I get to 4", it won't go into top so I can go to lower heights. It seems deck won't go high enough. I've taken deck off and put back on. There does not seem to...

Mower Deck - Tightening Blade Issue

I took it apart, put it back together, tightened it and it tightened to appropriate torque without issue. It looked like it was all originally put together correctly, however as I was taking it apart it all fell. So can't be sure. Not sure what happened, or why it's resolved. Thanks for...

Mower Deck - Tightening Blade Issue

Thanks Jimh406. I'll plan to take it apart and double check. I think everything was put back right. I'm not sure what why this would cause the spindle to spin on the belt, but you're the second person to suggest it, so worth a double check.

Mower Deck - Tightening Blade Issue

Everything is back together correctly. The entire shaft / spindle / pulley spins on the belt. Hopefully that makes sense as it's kinda hard to describe.

Mower Deck - Tightening Blade Issue

BX2360. 60" deck. Took blades off to sharpen. Putting them back on, no issues with side ones. Middle one, when I block blade to tighten, the associated spindle shaft spins before proper torque. So, that spins and I can't tighten. This is with the wrench, not gun. Belt seems appropriate...

    Auger For BX?

I have a BX2360. I'm entertaining getting an Auger. I'm in the very beginning stages and haven't found one, and am just assuming I could get one for a BX. However, before I get too far was hoping for some feedback. Basically, would an auger put too much stress on a BX? Maybe things have...

LX2610 for grass and snow primarily?

Only suggestion would be to make sure 72" deck would work. In my opinion you need really level and free of obstructions for that to work.

    First Snow for the B2601

The spacers are necessary for chains? I have a BX and unless I have the rear chains on perfectly, they will hit the frame. Is this what spacers are for? Hope you don't mind I jumped in with my own question River19. Sounds like you have a good set up for the snow. Its interesting you are...

    Losing interest in R14 tires...

Well reading these posts are discouraging when it comes to my tires. Estimating I had under 400 hours. Almost never saw pavement. Gravel drive and yard / woods work. Got them from my Kubota dealer. Unsure on brand. I can check at some point. I Knew they should have lasted longer but had no...

    Losing interest in R14 tires...

D2 - Not sure if this makes a difference, but I should add I keep my BX outside. It sits under an elevated deck, but is pretty much in the elements. That said, rear R4's lasted about 4 years. Both started showing a lot of wear and tear in side walls, then one had a slow leak, which turned put to...

    Losing interest in R14 tires...

This stuck out to me and it dawned on me is spot on. I am needing new tires. I went from turfs, to R4's. R4's didn't last long which I was disappointed in. Also, I really wasn't that impressed with the R4's over the turfs for what I do. I wanted to believe they were better in the snow which...

Finally Did Bed Liner On Tractor

Geohorn - No, you cannot borrow my wife. She did a good job though. :) Armylifer, Bird Dogger, Mickey D - Thanks for the feedback on the prep work! I know it isn't difficult, but I'd never done it before. Good to know it looked good. Army Lifer - I had thought about the mat. I think given its...

Finally Did Bed Liner On Tractor

A few more pics of the process: First I got rid of the rust. I appreciate members here that directed me how to do that I’m another Thread. It seemed to be pretty deep.

Finally Did Bed Liner On Tractor

Been thinking about doing this for a while. Spray can of Herculiner. I’ll post the before / after and then post my rationale I don’t have a garage or outbuilding so I park my tractor under a raised deck. That offers some protection but not much. I’m in the Midwest and we get very cold to...

I played around on my phone and it looked ok. Font was a bit smaller than Tapa, but consistent with other sites. Didn't post though, so not sure how that woulda worked. I would have a hard time paying for Tapa. Might feel different about an actual specific app, however I get that's not an...

Like a few others, just hoping to get an update on Tapa. If it can't be integrated, I understand. However, if it can and there is a timeline, that would be good. Otherwise, are people just going to the site on their phones and using it like a web site? Thank you to all those that are working...
