Dealer installed third function....now no hydraulics to BH92

A few weeks ago I had my dealer install a third function kit to my L5460 so I could use an angle adjustable front blade as well as a yet to be delivered grapple. I have been led to believe it was a Kubota kit, for the most part it looks legit with the hoses and sleeves and such. One thing that...

Clearing snow. Kubota, quad with plow, or snow blower. Go

Last winter I cleared snow with a MM 670, which was annoying. A nearly 8 foot wide tractor with a 5 foot bucket. Could never clear where it drove, bucket had minimal capacity. One time I was trying to make my lane wide enough to drive up and had the big MM slide into the ditch. My neighbor came...

Binders and Chains or Ratchet Straps

I've never hauled my tractor yet, but I have hauled cars and trucks. I use grade 70 chains crossed in the rear with load binders and proper binder retainer clips. I used nylon ratchet tie downs crossed on the front. My reasoning is the massive potential for a forward load under extreme...

    Filled tires

Yes, the tires should only be 75% filled. Only check the pressure, or fill them with the valve up at the top. If I get a cold night and a warm humid day, I can see the condensation level on the tires like a glass of iced tea.

BH92 operating tips for a novice (or any backhoe)

Thank you for all the tips!!! Myself and the tractor/BH survived the weekend, it's back at the dealer to get the hydraulic thumb installed, they never had time to get it on before I picked it up. I started off with some motion practice without digging, everything at 1500 RPM. I then dug a hole...

BH92 operating tips for a novice (or any backhoe)

This is excellent info, thank you so much! On the buried stuff, It was pretty much a blank property with overhead lines that I had put underground. All of the buried infrastructure was done this year by contractors I hired so I know where everything is and won't be digging there. The only...

    MX5100 4WD will not engage

Is it possible the linkage has slipped and it won't go back due to the linkage not allowing it (already in rear position), and it can't go forward because the shift gate is limiting it? I've had this happen on a vehicle, not a tractor. I'm not familiar with the linkage on the Kubota, just...

BH92 operating tips for a novice (or any backhoe)

I dropped off my L5460 to have the BH92 fitted, my tires are also getting loaded. I've searched on here for an in depth (pun intended) thread on backhoe operating tips, primarily safety, prevention of damage and efficiency. If there is something I didn't find, I'd appreciate a link. My FEL had...

    New L5460

Thank you Sir!!! Yes, I really like reading manuals, I like to know what I'm dealing with so I don't break it. I'm a bit surprised that the sales fellow didn't steer me towards a ballast box right off the hop. The loader manual is well detailed and very directly says to load the tires and or use...

    New L5460

Two years ago, I bought an old 7.5 acre homestead with a lot of junk and old buildings on it. I did a lot of cleanup with some help from friends, and hiring a local guy with a massive track hoe to do some of the heavy grunt work and clean up. My Dad had moved from his rural property about 5...

    Rearview and FEL view camera

Sorry to drag up an old thread. I've got an old Minnie M670 that I put an Amazon backup camera on and it really helps. The 670 has a little bucket and a huge nose, so visibility is nonexistent, especially with the forks on. I bolted a round magnet to the camera bracket and I can stick it...
