Thinking about buying an L2501 DT...any reviews or thoughts?

I have the HST verson and love it. Have not needed more PTO power using a 5ft finish mower or 64" snowblower.

    Time for a purchase of a L2501

L2501 is great, mine has been amazing. Definitely get the SSQA. Also I would strongly recommend pallet forks. Excellent for moving brush or logs or even big rocks when you dont have a grapple. Also great for moving anything on a pallet of course. I have a water tank on a pallet that I...

    l2501 owners opinions please

Another happy L2501 owner here. Will be 3 years this summer. I have gotten a lot of value out of a standard tooth bar for my bucket, and a couple of relatively inexpensive attachments from Titan: These pallet forks... ...and this stump bucket. I just ordered a grapple and 3rd function...

    Help picking grapple for L2501

Quick followup; I ordered an MTL 48" root grapple. https://www.mtlattachments.com/tractor-attachments/48-hd-root-grapple-hydraulic-brush-grapple-attachment-wk53p-mdlt3 Pros: - About half the price of a land pride SGC0660 - In stock, should be here Monday, shipped to my house - I like the...

    Help picking grapple for L2501

I have an email inquiry into another dealer for the 0660. Im just concerned that it has very short tines on the bottom, limited digging because of a cross brace. And also its all smooth surfaces... lp 1060 looks better but was $1000 extra, seems like way too much. I was wondering if a...

    Help picking grapple for L2501

Hi all, its been a while since I have been on the forum. I am finally taking the grapple plunge with my L2501. I have ordered a Land Pride 3rd function kit from Messicks - optimistic I can install this myself and save a few bucks. On the grapple itself I'm much less certain. It may...

New Titan Stump Bucket for L2501

I used the stump bucket this weekend to move about 15 large landscaping stones. They were maybe around 2ft in diameter, on average. Very easy to scoop and carry the stones with the stump bucket. And no damage at all in manipulating these heavy stones, though they often rested on the "teeth."...

    Land Pride mower FDR1660

So I inspected the gearbox closely this evening after work. Took the dipstick out, checked the oil level, looks good. I am not sure what to think of my "missing plug." I think what I was looking at might actually BE a plug. It is threaded on the outside, fits a large allen wrench inside...

    Land Pride mower FDR1660

I purchased a land pride finish mower (fdr1660) with my new L2501 in June and only recently used it for the first time. I used the mower to chop down some very large weeds, not the intended purpose i know but it worked great. Underside needed significant cleaning after but I assume with...

    Stump bucket on a L2501?

I purchased a Titan stump bucket for my L2501 recently. I posted a thread with a picture here: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25899&highlight=stump+bucket The picture is kinda large, you can save or open it in another window to resize if needed... But anyway I'm...

    Titan stump bucket

I purchased one recently and very happy with it. Made a thread recently here: http://www.orangetractortalks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=25899 Excellent for digging. Planning to use it next weekend to prepare for a paver walkway in front of the house.

New Titan Stump Bucket for L2501

The bucket seems solid to me. I did everything I could with the L2501 and have no indication there was any weakness in the construction. I feel like I put in a pretty respectable effort on that stump. The bucket doesnt seem any worse for wear.

New Titan Stump Bucket for L2501

Got my new stump bucket from Titan Attachments yeaterday. Used it today to remove a couple of stumps. Works great. Allows you to dig deep around and under the stump and it breaks up small roots with the ripper teeth. I still had to cut some roots by hand of course but overall very happy with...

Need tractor in NH - B or L?

So I received my new L2501 yesterday and already spent a couple hours getting it dirty. I posted before that i ordered a box blade but changed my mind and got a 6' rake with wheels instead. Glad I went with the rake, have lots of use for it. Some comments: 1) I am glad I got the L and not...

Need tractor in NH - B or L?

Well I have committed to purchasing an L2501 HST with R4 tires, loader, 60" finish mower, 64" 3pt snowblower, and 60" box blade. So, decision made! Will post more when I get it delivered.

Need tractor in NH - B or L?

Seriously though, the suit looks perfect. And I'm sure they'd love a Kubota on the crab boat... Here's a question... so far on the forums I've seen a lot of "go big or regret it later" in terms of picking tractor size. But I've also seen a handful of people saying they have downsized. What...

Need tractor in NH - B or L?

So I'm still undecided about which tractor to get. I've tried prioritizing everything I think I need to do and the frequency... the B2650 comes out on top. But it is the most costly of all options. Starting to wonder if the backhoe of a BX25D would be more useful than the stronger FEL and...

Need tractor in NH - B or L?

Some new incentives from Kubota through July. Website has total incentives on L2501 at $2800 ($1300 tractor + $1500 implements) vs $2050 before. Extra $750 makes the L2501 cheaper than the B2650 similarly equipped by a bit, and likely about the same price as a B2601 if I'm doing my math right...
