Solved- L3901 HST had no power going to rear wheels

A few days ago I noticed that one of my rear tires was leaking solution. Well, over the past several days another issue with my otherwise extremely dependable Kubota L3901 HST began to rear it's ugly face. Tractor is a 2015 and had 275 hours on it. I purchased it new and have performed all the...

Where to get radiator drain plug?

I changed the coolant in my L3901 this past summer and the plastic plug was a little tight and I managed to bugger it up a little in loosening it. Is there a source besides the dealer for this plug if I decide to replace it? Also, what is the best tool to use in removing it? I used a...

Change your front axle oil, it's easy, cheap and fun

I changed my front axle gear oil last weekend in my L3901. Had 210 hours at time of change. Manual says to change at 400 hours, but it only takes 5 quarts and oil is pretty cheap so I changed it early. It was pretty dirty in my humble opinion, so I am glad I changed it. Also, the factory...

    ODBii reader

I have an OdBii reader for my truck and it’s great. It sends all sorts of data about my truck engine to my phone. Does my L3901 have an ODBii port? I’d love to have a similar way to monitor my tractor’s performance.

How often to change oil in Rotary cutter?

I have a land pride RCF2072 that I purchased new last May. I've had it about a year now. Should I change the oil in the gear box? The manual says to use EP 85-90w but doesn't say how often to change it. Also, I don't see a drain plug anywhere on the gear box. Do you all change your gear box...

Who has the oldest Kubota on this site?

I see on the front page that Kubota started in 1972. I am sure some of you have tractors that are still around from the early days. Show me some of your 1970s tractors! Who has the oldest one?

Does it make sense to mow your lawn yourself or hire someone?

The zero turn thread got me thinking about this, rather than threadjack I'll start new: I have a zero turn Toro that is 10 years old, has 500 hours on it. I got it new for about $5K-$6K and prolly put $1K is misc repairs into it since I've owned it (mostly to the deck, the spindles wore out)...

Tractor rifle rack, show me your set up

What are you guys using to carry long guns on your tractor? I'd like to carry an AR15 and a suppressed .22lr on my L3901 (no cab). I prefer to have them stored vertically so the muzzle is not pointed at anything I drive past. In for some ideas...

How many hours can you expect to get out of your tractor?

I know this is a hard to answer question, like how many miles can you get out of a car with good maintenance, but how many hours do you expect to get from your tractor before it needs major repairs, if you do proper maintenance? I recently sold my Dad's old skid loader (was a yellow and black...

Nuts on Land Pride rotary cutter were absurdly tight

I have a Land Pride RCF2072, I purchased it brand new last May. I removed the blades today to have them sharpened. For some reason, the nuts that hold on the blades were stupidly tight. I meant really, really freaking tight. Google says they were torqued at the factory to 450 lbs and I...

Are you happy with the hydraulic lift capacity of your Kubota?

I have an L3901 and although I really LOVE the tractor overall, the one thing that disappoints me is the lift capacity of the factory kubota LA525 FEL. It seems like it should lift A LOT more than it does. The other day I sold a two bottom plow and lifted it into a pickup truck. The plow...

Best finish mower for an L3901?

Looking to pick up a three point hitch finish mower for my L3901. It does not have a mid-mount PTO so the mower must be a 3 point hitch type. I am sure a 6 foot would work since I have a 6 foot Land Pride Rotary Cutter, but I am wondering if I can go larger than 6 foot for a finish mower. In...

    Dearborn plow doesn't fit

Am I doing something wrong? The plow parts are too far forward past the three point hook up and hits the tractor. What's up with that? Poorly designed plow or user error? I was jazzed to get this plow for $150 but the stupid thing won't work on my L3901 unless I am missing something...
