yes and i have voltage on the wire going to solenoid even with key off so im thinking relay or key switch...really only things i can think of to make voltage continue to flow with key off

thanks jim...its not im getting no voltage but that im getting voltage to the starter even with the key off

think i have narrowed my problem for the starter not disengaging down to the starter relay....does anyone know where it is located and what it looks like...thanks in advance

it is a 2012 hst with about 140 hours tractor in great shape and i am the original owner

dont think its the starter...i have 12v on the black wire with the plug on the end going to solenoid with the key off....thinking it maybe a starter relay...if so where is it or maybe the key switch

Got a L3800 thats been giving me some problems starting lately.....sometime acted like battery was dead then click click multiple times.....this was not every time...problem is not battery...yesterday same thing but when it finally started now the started wonted disengage..removed starter...
