L2501 HST- PTO will not disengage w/lever

Had a similar issue. In my case the problem was fixed by lubing the cable and ends so that everything could move freely. Have not had a problem since and it's now part of my regular maintenance.

Kubota L3200 hydrostatic drive is weak at full speed both ways

You do not say how familiar you are with the HST drives but if you are new to them, they do take some getting used to. It took me a while to get used to it as it's counter to everything you are used to driving cars and such. Assuming everything is working correctly.... Try this - Think of the...

    Should i buy an L2501?

As I understand it, when you do the insurance through Kubota it is just rolled into the total cost. I checked it against my insurance and the Kubota was cheaper so I went with it. Those I have talked to that have had claims loved it as it covers just about anything, including stupidity apparently.

    Should i buy an L2501?

I currently have an L2501 with FEL and have previously used an older BX22. When I went shopping for a new Kubota I went there looking for a B series and quickly realized that for what I needed to do - 10 acres, road maint, snow removal, etc - that the extra weight of the L was going to be...

Looking at small L series. Need advice on size, tier IV emissions, etc.

I have the L2501 and you are correct Sheepfarmer. These are Tier IV compliant without DPF. My understanding is the cutoff for the DPF was 25hp and the 2501 has a "rated" HP of 24.8 keeping it just under the limit.

    New 42" mower needed.

I'll second the Husqvarna. I have the YTH22V42 lawn tractor and it has been good for us. The only advice I would give, regardless of brand, is to really look at where you will be using the lawn tractor. If you are on fairly level ground a properly sized lawn tractor will do. If you have...

    Any L2501 Owners??

AJW - I actually park mine both ways. Sometimes in a shop/garage, sometimes in just a covered area I built for parking it. Have not noticed excessive smoke on start-up in either case. That said, I wouldn't want to run it or any diesel engine indoors for very long, with or without a DPF. I...

    Any L2501 Owners??

10Ring, I wouldn't expect to see a ton of responses since it's a relatively new model. The L2501 is a bit of a niche tractor - larger/heavier than the B series, lower HP than the norm for the L series. For my purpose it fell into the "just right" category since I do not need the extra HP but...

    Dealer Dilemma

More than likely it's simply because you are too far away. Most dealers make the bulk of their money on parts, service and accessories. Selling a tractor to someone that will not be a regular customer for the additional stuff just doesn't have the benefit for the dealer. It sucks for the...

    Any L2501 Owners??

AJW - I have owned mine a little over a month now and could not be happier. I bought mine for all the same reasons you listed and have it setup with loaded tires. Went in looking at B series and knew right away they would not be up to the tasks I had in mind. I'm on 10 acres and use it for...
