    limb stuck on powerline

Ask ANY tree professional whos a memeber if the ISA, International Society of Arbour culture and see what they have to say about topping trees. It leaves the limbs open to disease, kinda like getting a cut and not putting a bandaide on it...

Advice Needed On Possible Purchase L2000DT

The brakes on that should be similar to automotive style drum brakes. Not hard to replace yourself. Since the L225 is the cross over model you can go to Kubotas website and pull up and illustrated parts list and get an idea how it all goes together.

    Ballast box (chained?)

Having a ballast box sitting back there would not be any different then having any tractor attachment on the hitch all day. Like a grading box or any heavy attachment.

    limb stuck on powerline

Never have a tree topped and left. It'll kill the tree over time and it'll come falling down. Topping is fine for a complete tree take down and removal.

    Just got a mint B6100

NAPA carries all the filters you need for that tractor way cheaper then what the dealer sells them for. I have a B6100 and most everything I need comes from NAPA.

Advice Needed On Possible Purchase L2000DT

It's totally doable and wont be crazy expensive if you know how to turn a wrench and do some of the work yourself. As Wolfman said its a grey market tractor, assuing your a resident in the North American hemisphere. If you reside elsewhere on planet Earth, then that model is correct to you and...

    Ballast box (chained?)

Leave it attached to the hitch. Safer and sturdier on the hitch then swinging from a chain. If the tractor is not in use then lower the 3pt to the ground. If your using the tractor then it can stay on the hitch all day without problems.

Humm I wonder what Keystone tractor museum might know about them, or perhaps they may have one on display. I need to go visit again. I hear they've added more tractors to their collection to drool over.

SURVEY: Chattering 3 Point (going up)

As far as I understand the jerky 3pt is a draw back to the Standard L series Kubotas. L3200-L3800. No reports and complaints about the newest models from the 2015 line up. If your front wheels are coming off the ground when it happens to you, is your loader still on. Or do you have weights on...

    OEM replacement costs

If you really want to kick yourself in the ass, you could have hired a guy to grind out the stump for about $150-$200 bucks and save some money plus broken equipment. I'm not real fond of digging out stumps unless you have a heft excavator. Anything small ends up broken.

Worth converting a snow plow to fit a BX?

More then likely a lighter spring won't flip the blade back up after it hit something. Thats heavy blade to tilt and needs all the spring it can get.
