    R4 tires.

No lawn to mow. But similar feelings. Had ag tires on the compact NH. Sandy and soft soil. Gravel driveway. R4 leave at most just a tire impression. Traction seems fine. Hit a muddy area and tires were sunk to almost the rims. No issue with traction to get through the muck. The R1 tires...

    Rear blades for tractor

I have a 6’ blade and 6’ boxblade I use with my L4701 HST that has loaded rear R4’s, 15psi, set in the next to widest position. Straight, the back blade barely covers the tire tracks. Angled, you have to offset it to cover one of the rear tires if that matters to you. Owner manual lists back...

I shouldn't complain about how other people treat their stuff

I'm familiar with that stuff, Paul. The last 10 or so at work, vehicles and trailers were part of my responsibilities. We had over 20 utility trailers that ranged from smaller ones in the pics below to some much more substantial ones. Depending upon the weight rating and vintage they had no...

Bush hog keeps getting out of place

Bingo. Needs to go. Left stabilizer appears to be in place but do not see one on right side. Adding another to right side will help. Yes, reversing hitch pins will help. Agree with earlier poster about HD lynch pins but locking type are even better, if difficult to find.

Bush hog keeps getting out of place

On the right side, why would there be a hitch pin (where it's damaging your tire)? Can't tell form the photos but it looks like maybe that was someone's idea for mounting one end of a sway bar? As mentioned, you should have chains or bars on both sides to limit the sideways movement of the...

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

I removed the tire chains for the summer. I will take off the snow blower Sunday or Monday. I think spring has arrived.

    bx2380 chains?

Waiting for some skid plates before taking delivery of the BX. Yesterday did the Kubota "orientation, Q&A" with the dealer and shop person. Close look at the clearance. R4s. Tight a space between the protective plate inside the fender and tire. Shop person suggested studs as an option...

    Reversing R4 tires?

Exactly right. If the tires are not spinning it is not an issue, if they do spin the V pushes mud/sand/other out from under the tire so it hopefully bites into solid ground. If the V is reversed the mud/sand/other is pushed under the tire and works much like grease does to lubricate a slide...

    Reversing R4 tires?

For years I often wondered the same thing - on AG tires - the triangle pushes the soil away from the center much like a plow does - in reverse the soil is pushed to the middle. The grip is much better by the tire push it away and the tire "digging in" to the soil. But for what it is worth - it...

    Kubota l185 dt with tiller

There are lower three point arms that should be extending past the rear tires. I guess you might be saying that the implement attachment points are too wide and the arms are swinging out and are too close to the tires. That is common on implements that I use on my L185F. I usually solve that...

Wanna trade for a really Nice Walk behind! 😜 I'll deliver! 😉 You'll get far more money that in IN. 4WD tractors in the Greater North West sell for a premium. I'm assuming MMM? Any other Implements going with it?

It has the original turf tires on front (added tubes about 20 years ago), and the original...

    Chains for winter plowing- 6060

I never thought about that… good point! I’m running Nokia tires and they have a deep thread as you probably know. so yes, I wanna make sure no matter what chains I purchase, they don’t fall in between the lugs too much.. Ill check out the Tryggs and see what the Kubota dealer has and will be...

    Chains for winter plowing- 6060

I think the Wolfman meant type of tire not size of tire. For example, with my R4 tires, ladder chains fell mostly between the lugs and were not that great, but better than nothing...

BX Front tie down "D" rings / tow hooks for less than FIVE Dollars!

Yes, whenever winching/getting towed out of mud with high loads on chains/straps/cables, extra care needs to be taken to avoid any personal injury. Common sense. When I got the BX 25 stuck in the muddy field while bush hogging, it had sunk in the mud right up to the frame/skid plates. The BX 25...

In search of a better truck for towing the M6060 and folding cutter.

If you have any questions about the M1078 whether technical or legal, the folks at Midwest Military Equipment are very knowledgeable. https://midwestmilitaryequipment.com/ I started and ran the M1078 yesterday afternoon for the first time in a few months (see video) and it always amazes me how...
