    Seat, clutch, pto should all have safety switches. I would start with the seat switch.

    I would not worry about a liter. There are various lines etc that do not drain out when you change the fluid.:D

    Dennis: Most dealers are not really up to speed on individual units. You can go to Kubota's web site and go to their parts page. Type in your unit and it will show all the filter #'s.:D

    The other filter is the HST filter and it should be changed too. I would not use STP in my tranny. In fact I would not use that stuff in anything I cared about. Good clean high quality oil is all that id required.;)

    You adjusted the wrong one. Hope you can remember what you did because you need to put it back. You want to adjust screw #18. Not sure which #18 but the one that has the throttle lever resting on it at idle. Loosen the lock nut and back the screw out. The other #18 is your high idle adjustment...

    You can slow the idle down by backing off the low idle adjusting screw. I like to be able to idle mine around 800 rpm. Every engine will have a sweet spot where it likes to idle so just play with it till you find it. You don't want it to be shaking around.

    Yep its toast. There are lots of outfits that supply and repair HST but you may need to take it to your Kubota dealer unless you know of a competent mechanic. Good luck:(

    Other than checking that all the linkages on connected there is not much else to tell you other than there is an internal failure, but I would check that a linkage has not fallen off:eek:

    I think I agree with that one. That is one switch that should not be bypassed. Spend the bucks and replace it.:eek:

    When you push in the clutch it stops everything behind it which is the hydrostatic transmission. Part of the tranny is the charge pump which supplies oil to the HST. Pushing the clutch stops all that so that is why your noise stops. So yes it stops all flow through the filter. I would check that...

    I would say no as your Kubota does not have a wet sleeve cylinder. The best bet is to change your coolant every 3-5 years, assuming you are using long life diesel antifreeze.

    Try putting some weight on it. Sometimes they will stick up. Make sure the flow control is open.:D
