    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Got some time to look at the hydraulic pump issue. Popped out the screen it wasn't very bad I had a few little bits here and there. Has new oil now. Filled the pump with oil put it back on. Nothing. Cracked the high pressure line at the entrance to the rear of the tractor, fluid squirted out...

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Maybe? Both were replaced in March 209 with NGKs. Seems they should have lasted longer than that. The ones from Reliable fixed the hard start problem. On to the pump.

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Well, it seems very odd, but I suddenly have not one but two bad glow plugs? Hydraulics stop working, engine stalls, hard to start=bad glow plugs? I guess there is such a thing as coincidence-maybe?

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Who knows, is cavitation or loss of prime a possibility? Hydraulics is NOT my forte, it spins freely and the remaining oil in the pump 'flows'. I may partially submerge in oil and spin to see what happens. Fortunately, I got most of what I needed the tractor for before this happened. The...

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

I am almost more concerned with the sudden 'hard starting' at this point. A quick check shows 12VDC to the glow plugs, but need to continue with snow removal at this point.

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Well apparently that question was dumb and pre-mature, DUH, there is a gear on the shaft! Next time pay better attention to the picture in the book. Oddly enough, the pump seems okay, I will break it down and inspect. I am not a believer in coincidences, but the tractor is very hard to start...

    Hydraulic Pump Replacing

Apparently, burned up the hydraulic pump! Been moving snow all morning after the 36" dump we got. Lost all hydraulics and the pump is hot and smoking. This is one area of the tractor I am not so familiar with, as the hydraulics have been trouble free since 2015 when I purchased the tractor...
