I googled zd28 and found a pdf brochure that shows a pic of the blades. www.agriquip.co.za/pdfs/zd.pdf It looks like they are all orientated a certain way alright.

Probably not much help here but aren't the blades belt driven? Because if they are, they probably wouldn't stay in alignment very long. If they are all gear or shaft driven then that's a different story.

I seen the fuel filter list on here, went to my Kubota dealer and picked up part# 15231-43560. Went to change the fuel filter (the one in the sediment bowl), and my filter is about 5/8 - 3/4" shorter than the one on the list. I noticed that the wix, fram and Baldwin numbers that cross over to...

Since it bolts directly to the back of the tractor, I'm gonna guess its the same as mine with a S850 tiller. Its not bolts that hold it on, its actually 4 studs with nuts and washers. Im sure they will be metric. The studs and the seals should be available at a Kubota dealer.

Very nice. Top notch work there. Maybe you should patent that idea and then sell it to Kubota for, oh lets say a quick 100K ;). They could call it the Kubota Klaw.

I checked it out and it does have a tiny fill plug on the other side. It looks like you'd almost need a syringe to fill it, but the oil was clean and full. I made the adjustments and now just have a tiny bit of freeplay as recommended. Thanks for the input.

Heres a couple pics I found on the net. I know a guy that has one of these, he uses it for everything. Its very versatile and there are lots of attachments available.

The pics in my online service manual aren't that great and I'd like to tighten up the freeplay in the steering wheel. It sounds like you might be better off trying to find another tiller. The S850 came out on a lot of B6000s, I think it was unique to this tractor only, due to the ccw pto. If you do decide to repair it, the 3 places I see mentioned on here lots for parts are Messicks, West Kentucky Tractor...

Get a service manual and If you don't know the maintenance history, I'd change all fluids and all filters (Engine oil, Trans/Hyd, Air and Fuel). Also grease all the fittings. After that, just follow the maintenance schedule in the Service manual. You could also check tire pressures and wheel...
