    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

I got it from princess auto. The inside looks like this Really looks like a female JIC but much longer. So way the fitting can touch the bottom of the sleeve

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

The valve port is bspp. The male end of the sleeve, going into the valve is bspp. I dont know what the female end is but there is a bevel inside, just like JIC fittings.

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

Everything is plumbed for the rear valve. Sorry, I hijacked my owned thread to talk about the rear remote. But I get a leak from there: That's the section between the PB sleeve and JIC fitting. Am I supposed to have a seal in there? I noticed that the sleeve goes deeper than the lenght of my...

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

Sorry, I mixed up 2 questions in the same thread. The original post is about adding a valve on the backhoe to control a thumb. I would plumb this all on the BH77 without touching the tractor. In the meantime, I went ahead and also plumbed my rear remote (A vevor valve that I mentioned in...

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

I don't think my idea about removing the sleeve would work. Because then the tank would be pressurized so both ends of the cylinder would get pressurized at the same time. So I think I need to plumb the P and N (with PB sleeve) to the tractor, and then add a 3rd hose from the T port and tee it...

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

My valve is a monoblock, BM40. I tried plumbing my valve yesterday. I took the backhoe off and plumbed the valve's T and P ports to the blue and red ports on the tractor and tried to activate a top-link cylinder. It did not work and my loader would not work either. I left the PB sleeve into the...

    L2502 QD couplers

Can someone confirm what types of QD couplers are used on the hydraulic hoses of the BH77? The part diagram shows "Kubota NIPPLE, 3/8 NIP HNV28NPTM - 7J417-66220" I believe these would be 3/8 iso7241-B. Correct? I'm in Canada if that is useful to know.

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

I think I understand. But I will want to use my manual control valve since I already have one. In this case, I will need the PB on the valve right? I don't see how it would work otherwise. So while I am not touching the valve, pressure will be maintained on both sides of the cylinder. But the...

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

Isnt this a PB port that goes from the solenoid valve to the bh77 valve? Also, no tank return on the solenoid valve?

    Hydraulic Thumb on BH77

I've seen a few post where people talk about how to rig this up. I think I get the idea, but I'd like it if someone could confirm that this design is safe: Edit: I mean "bote", not "stroke" 2" bore is ok? I should I go 3" I understand the 2 pressure reliefs are required to avoid building too...

    Trading in for a l2502

I'm not happy with them in the snow but nothing is perfect. So maybe they are the best but I can't compare. I had industrials on my bx23s, and I dont remember having issues in the snow. But different tractor.

    Trading in for a l2502

I'm about to trade in my b2601 for a L2502. I have r14 tires on the b2601 and they're good. But not so much in mud or in snow. So I'm considering getting industrial tires and the l2502. Would it make a big difference in mud and in snow? Would I still need chains in snow? If I still need chains...

Need confirmation that chatgpt is not wrong

Wow. I didn't think I would spark such a debate. Haha. But good info. I was mostly wondering what kubota recommends. So basically "what is the minimum I need to do in order not to void my warranty". Thanks everyone, good inputs.

Need confirmation that chatgpt is not wrong

Before searching this forum, I decided to ask a question to chatgpt. Can someone confirm the accuracy of the response? The details of it make it sound pretty accurate. My question: I own a kubota b2601 and I need to do the hydraulic oil change for the 400h maintenance. Do I need to also change...

    Building a bike rack

No, It stays screwed in tight. But it seems that no matter how hard I tight it, the assembly will still slide across the square bar if given enough force, such as driving with a 12yo suspension on a corolla. So I want to lock it into place. I was thinking something with a ratchet mechanism maybe.

    Building a bike rack

I'm looking to build my own bike rack because I hate the one I have. I'm kinda limited with options since I drive a corolla (that's what happens when you spend everything you have on a tractor). The current bike rack I have is a bad design. The bar that holds the bike down has this clamp that...
