    My loader won’t stay up?

I’ll use it to test the pressure in the system to see if I’m reaching proper PSI. Trying to verify if my perceived lack of power is an issue or not.

Anyone ever make their own small farm/duck pond?

Contemplating installing a small duck pond (like 10'x25'). In south eastern New Hampshire. It will be about 40 yards from a swamp that always holds water. Thinking maybe I could plumb it somehow to flush/circulate water once in a while as needed. Anyone ever done anything like this?

    My loader won’t stay up?

After a little asking around, it kind of sounds like leak down in the curl cylinders is more common than in the lift cylinders. Does that sound right? Any recommendations for a gauge and how to figure out what adapters I'd need for my machine? Thanks

    My loader won’t stay up?

the video I just watched shows a trick to tell if it’s the bucket curl or lift booms or control valve that’s leaking by swapping line positions into the valve block. It didn’t sound like noticeable leaking over a short amount of time was normal. When I get a chance I’m going to grab a test...

    My loader won’t stay up?

Not something I normally do, but I was using the tractor to hold something in place over night. When I normally park it I let all the hydraulic pressure off the loader and 3pt.

    My loader won’t stay up?

And I have no experience with hydraulics so don’t know where to even start. Fluid is full and looks clean. No external leaks.

    My loader won’t stay up?

If I park my tractor with the loader in the full up position over night, in the morning it’s halfway down. The loader also seems like it’s weaker than it used to be. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot and diagnose the issue? Thanks!

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

I just noticed your screen name and picture. Do you call them in or trap or use dogs? I do some calling and I have a dog who loves to track down any wounded ones.

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

Ya, you can damage wood quick with a washer if you're not carful. Buy I'm not painting it. Its rough cut board and batten siding and a few years back when I was going to restain, I realized they had stopped making the good stuff (Woodguard). So I made the mistake of using a semi transparent...

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

I have a 18' extension for the power washer but my arms are jelly after a half hour. I can't imagine I'd be able to do anything with a 36' extension! I'm not just spraying water on the siding though, I'm spraying chemical stripper and then stripping with the 3,000psi power washer, the nozzle...

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

I picked it up Saturday morning and used it yesterday. It has slots for a forklift on the bottom so I used my clamp on forks to put a little down pressure on it. Between that and the outriggers, the base was rock solid. The aluminum boom has some flex in it, so it's a little unnerving (and...

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

Found a deal on a used one of these: I think I'm going to grab it and rig it to mount to the 3pt hitch.

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

If you're staining a log home, for the first time, let me give you some advice if you do it yourself. That is to use this product, which is more of an "oil" than a "stain": https://blairstowndistributors.com/product/woodguard_exterior/ In clear or very light tint. All the other stains I've...

Potential Darwin Award? - Hydraulic Line failure

I want to use my B8200 with a BF300 loader and clamp on forks with a section of staging to power wash and stain my house, kind of like this guy: But I got to thinking what happens if a hose gives out? How likely is that to happen? I don't want to win a Darwin Award.

belt tension gauge for mower deck?

do you mean a landpride FDR2560? Same mower as I have? If you do I’ll post directions from the manual. But it is 1/4” of deflection at 7 to 10 lbs of force. On my new belt it resulted in the eyebolt being threaded around half way through its bracket after the belt was seated with a couple...

belt tension gauge for mower deck?

Thanks. That belt isn't for my deck though, mine's a 106" OD, theres no way a 139" would work. I had a V-Belt Guys belt that was constructed the same as the one you linked to, with the Aramid fabric wrap, for $22.00. I think I burned through two of them. But I can't say for sure if it was...

    12v fuel transfer pump recommendations?

For whatever reason, human kind is able to launch people into space, but we are completely unable to come up with a simple affordable, reliable, spill proof, fuel container. Every gas or diesel container I've ever owned seems like it was designed to make sure only about two thirds of the fuel...

belt tension gauge for mower deck?

It didn't occur to me to use my Boga grips until after I ordered the gauge from Amazon. But for $17 I can keep it right there with the tractor and monitor the tension routinely. To show how bad I was at estimating the tension, I changed the blades and belt at the same time. When I started...
