    Need some mower advice

I did some more research on the mower today. I stopped by one of the dealerships near where I was working. They sell land pride and woods. The service manager was a huge help. We tested out a a rd 60 like mine and a prd 6000 ( the heavier version of my mower) and a comparable version from...

    Need some mower advice

Deuce, I use pto gear 1 and normally the tractor is in 5th. I tried pto 2 for a few minutes, I just knew that would scatter the grass but it did not change it much either. I decided to finish the yard with my neighbor's tractor since I had it here. Cat, I have the a 1 inch spacer under each...

    Need some mower advice

I have a neighbor that has a woods prd8400. It is set up very similar. I borrowed his tractor and mower to do a test run for comparison. His lower left a very clean cut with no clumps of clippings. They were scattered over the full 7 foot discharge. So I ruled out the yard as the problem...

    Need some mower advice

Everything is new from my local woods dealership. This mower sat up for sometime before I bought it. Mostly out in the weather so I changed the gear box oil, all the mandrel bearings and the idler pulleys. The tension spring and belt were also replaced. The mower and tractor are thoroughly...

    Need some mower advice

Thanks Deuce, the blade number is 1001513. Also the divider plates that run around each blade. Are you blades recessed into those areas or do the blades hang just below them ?

    Need some mower advice

I stopped and checked that twice Cat. Thanks for reminding me to add that. I forgot to list that earlier. The bottom side is clean. I did notice two pieces of metal welded behind the blades angling toward the outside edges. One on each side. Since I bought the mower used Im not sure if they...

    Need some mower advice

My woods rd 60 mower is clumping up the clippings between the rear wheels of the mower. It is a rear discharge deck that should discharge all across the 5 ft opening at the back. All the grass seems to come out in a section about the width of the center blade. The grass is dry and I am only...

    1979 B7100D Mid Mount Mower ?

I picked up a 60in mmm for a b7100hst with hopes of converting it to rear mount use behind my b7100d. But like Wolfman said it just wasn't worth all the required changes to make it work properly. I ended up getting a woods rd60 instead, so far it has been the better choice for me.

    Clutch will not disengage

Our Farmall 140 did the same thing last summer. I mowed about 1 acre with the bush hog cutting tall grass holding the clutch pedal down before the clutch finally let go. We made a wooden block for it to hold open the clutch so it doesn't lock up again. The tractor is used weekly during the...

engaging front wheel drive on B7100 hst diesel late model

Try keeping the 4wd lever where it meets the side of the transmission case sprayed with a little oil or wd40 to keep it moving freely if you don't use it a lot. I make it a habit to briefly engage the 4wd each time I use the tractor to make sure it will work when I need it.

Thermo - siphon cooling system question

It might be time for a new radiator cap? Might be a good idea to have it checked or simply replace it. Most of the Kubotas use a standard size 13psi cap that you can pick up from any auto parts store.

    Kubota RFM-60 Question's

You might want to try agri supply for help replacing the wheels. They have a few stores in Ga. That place is like a farmer's toy store. I use them for almost all of mower blades, belts, and bearings. As for changing the gear oil, im not sure how your mower is set up but on my woods rd60 I...

How to make rear pto engagement less violent

The cutter is a little large for the BX but it will work if you take your time. I think that model cutter has a shear bolt on the pto shaft. If you can change it over to a slip clutch that will make it easier on engagement.

Added Hard Canopy - Now Louder

I made the same discovery as Chim this summer when I also started wearing a very wide brim hat. I started hearing all kinds of noises due to the sound waves bouncing back. You might want to try some of racing parts supply companies like summit racing or jegs. They carry sound dampening kits...

off topic tractor and mower question

I was getting gas at a local station this morning and noticed a massey ferguson 1020 on a trailer at the next pump over. The tractor had what appeared to be a mid mount mower but everything attached to the rear 3 point hitch and was powered by a drive shaft connected to the rear pto that...

    PTO Speed B7100HST-D

The HST versions only had two speeds on the rear pto 540/850. The mid pto speed is 2450 The older gear drive versions had 3 speeds. 540/750/1000 and no mid pto The manuals are a great help and a must if you plan to do most repairs to the tractor yourself. welcome to the group!

    Tow behind sweeper

I have the sweeper pictured. It does a great job picking up grass, leaves, pine straw and cones. It will even pick up a long neck budwiser bottle with out breaking it. The agfab 44" smart sweeper has been a good investment for me. I use it to clean up next to the highway as well as my usual...

Thinking about Trading a MMM for a Rear Finish

The rear mount mower would be easier to slip on and off so the tractor could do other chores. Iron pony is right, the front end is on the light side. If you had a front end loader attached or weights on the front end it does get to be more manageable depending on the weight of the mower. The...

    woods herritage rd 60 mower

I was preparing to buy a new mower for my b7100 this spring when I found this woods heritage rd 60 mower. I currently have an old woods rm59. None of my local dealers carry this woods mower so I haven't been able to find out any first hand info about them. I was hoping to find out anything I...
