    Anybody got their smoker going?

Haven’t smoked anything lately but I just picked up a whole hog from the butcher. $316 just for the processing. Still have to pay for the pig.

    Anyone a cattle farmer?

Wow. Way too big of a steer for me. The last 2 I sent to the butcher were 650 pounds each live weight. But mine are small. Couple pictures for reference. Bale feeder is about 45 inches tall. The dumbazz bull had a habit of getting himself trapped in the feeder, that’s why I had...

    Was at my dealer today..

The last bunch of rounds have averaged around 950 each. It has been good hay at a good price. I usually put the spear on the back and move them but sometimes I get in a hurry and put them out with the pallet forks. Won’t be doing that anymore :( Never imagined I would be moving round...

    Was at my dealer today..

I can say that the B2650 uses ball bearings. Noticed the oil leak today so dug out the WSM to look into it. Maybe I shouldn’t move round bales with it.

Post your ROPS light mounting pics

Thought I would share my ROPS light mounting project. It started out as a simple design. I used a piece of 1X3 rectangle tubing with 3/8-inch threaded rod connectors welded to it to support it from the ROPS. Between the tubing and the ROPS is a piece of conveyor belting. This went well...

    Indecisive...yet determined.

A new B2650 cab with loader. Forks and R4's I would expect to be at least 25k to 30k. If you need to lift 1100 ponds on a pallet off or onto a truck. It's not going to do it. I cannot unload a 1000 pound pallet of feed without struggling. If a cab is important go for it. If not...

Mike. O We never got to puting any details on paper as i didn't want to finance the 19k. . He just told me 19,000 plus my tractor. My view was the L4701 Msrp is 33,136 according to build my kubota. Drop $3000 off for the good guy discount - 19,000 cash leaves my trade at 11,236...

The 525 loader will struggle with 1100 pounds on the forks. The 525 means it will lift 525 kilograms multiply by 2.2. Equals is 1155 pounds at the pins. I would go bigger now so as to not be unhappy after you get it home. My needs recently changed and my B2650 is now a little too small...

    My Brothers of the Craft

Congrats on your year in the east. I hope you stay active on the sidelines, we all needed someone who has been there when we started our journey. I just started attending again after a few years away.

What did you do to or on your Kubota today?

Put out new bale of hay and new bale feeder. Who says you can't move round bales with a B2650. As I got off tractor I had to take pic of suset in background. Then froze fingers putting bale feeder together.

    Bobcat/Skidsteer?

The skid steer is better for maneuvering around inside the barn. I had a 2001 NH LS140 that I traded in for the B2650. There have been many times I wish I still had it. Where the cows are bedded is not easy to clean with the tractor and loader. There are scars on the wall to prove it. I...
